Just a thought.. 

 

Is it possible to implement the current chat system that is used in the forums, into the game? I would love it if my chat messages were completely separate from my logs, especially when farming frags, zombie brews, etc.. I realize there is a separate tab for chat, but the whole chat system in the game is just... blahhh....  Most of the time when i log in, it is simply to talk to friends while waiting on something to do or stamina.. So, would be nice if we had a little better system.

To install the private chat that is used in the forums, into fallensword.. that's way it's easier to chat, it's separate from our logs, and chat message won't get lost during mass global frag farming, or whatever else spams our logs

+1   Would love to see a separate chat window implemented on the side or something.....

Doesn't global chat count as that? Can't say that was much of a hit honestly. How many areas are needed to chat in?

You can Hide Fragment Stash Logs. There is a global chat like Cal pointed out. So he just wants to separate IMs from his logs, I'm guessing.

If you go to your log page. At the top there are a bunch of buttons. There's one that says chat. If you push it it will only show chat messages and nothing else. Is that not almost the same thing?

Im aware of all of that. But would still be nice to have it completely separate from logs. Have you ever used the forum chat? If not, try it out.. it's much smoother than our in game private messaging..

Global chat has nothing to do with it. I never cared for global chat either. I'm speaking about private messages. Implimenting the private chat system that is currently used in the forums, into the game of fallensword.

I think I understand what looper is talking about.

 

My own Pms are filled with notices of one sort or another. I have not clicked on all the buttons over chat to see what they do, I will when I feel better.

 

It would be more convenient to view personal messages on their own without all the chaff and or clutter moving them off the bottom of the screen before being seen.  I think that's it.

I agree with that as well, much more important things. Just food for thought
