I why not making a client of Eldevin to run the game without the browser?

I know that this is a browser game but a client version will be nice and help people that have some browser problems...

Yeah, on Mac OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.3, most of my keyboard presses don't get recognised :(

A client version would be fantastic!  *applause*

My character's name is Solanacea.  I prefer solo play, but feel free to say hi if we cross paths in-game!

^ I had the same problem originally, You just have to hold the "fn" key first before you do any of the keyboard presses haha.

Hope this helps.

And yes, that would be a fantastic idea. As long as it is compatible with mac ^_^

A client launcher would be awesome. The game would be able to run much faster and much smoother in my opinion instead of running off a browser.

Eldevin is already made in java so I cant imagine porting it down to a client version would be impossible..

troublesome at least xD

But troubles/problems are the curse of coders, they are bound to appear upon every change you do, no matter what you do.

(speaking from experience)

They can make a cliente version working in java that reads the code to a form and not to a browser , i think it is possible, there us many games in java languaGE with a client , like rs.

Cheers

This has been suggested already, and the guy running the Suggestion thread said it's not going to happen.

My suggestions:

  • larger screen resolutions
  • eliminate browser window scrollbar (make game fit to browser window) - zooming scrolls the game/page @ 1600x900
  • downloadable client
  • increase zoom range
  • unlock minimap window and whatever that name window below it is, to move around screen freely
  • allow an option to open ALL bags with the same key, possibly even one additional bag per keypress, and ESC key closes them all.

All are in the list.

Client won't happen.

Screen Resolutions maybe.

The runescape client is open source, might see if i can find anyone who will edit it.  Don't think it would be too hard to make the rs client load eldevin

And unless it's officially sanctioned by Hunted Cow, you can probably expect to get banned for "hacking the game".

Its not hacking anything, its running the game through a different program, its no different from using a different browser.

Write a binary launcher to run the up-to-date Jar files in a standalone window, the way Minecraft does.
