I was just jumping around from profile to profile because I was bored and I stumbled on something I found to be more than a bit odd. I was wondering if anyone could explain how this is possible.

As you can see this player is level 248 and they are wearing a rooster set which is level 250. Wtf? I know there is a buff that lets you wear items above your level but they arent using any buffs. So how is this possible?

Maybe they reset their LUP's, and that resets (if I'm not mistaken) their VL too ? - that way, they can keep existing gear equipped, but if they remove it, they won't be able to rewear it again until they meet the level requirements ?

I could well be wrong tho ?

You might be right. I did the math and they arent getting any of the stats from the items. I'm just trying to figure out how they got them on.

If you are deleveled, combat sets will still equip gear even if it's above your level.

The stats of the gear above your level do not contribute towards your overall stats.

If a player hasn't set all their LUP their VL goes down with their AL.

Depending on the gear, the player may have had Mighty Vigor on at one point, and has since expired.

See my other post about combat sets and the ability to equip gear above your level.

You'd be able to keep the items equipped after Mighty Vigor wears off as long as u didn't remove it, yes?

Yes, but no reason in doing that.
But those gears are completely useless for him without mighty vigor.

IF you have that set in a Combat Set up you can equip them regardless of level- though they will not count towards your Stats if they are of a higher level than you can equip (They will for Arena though, if they are lower than the min level of equip ofcourse)
But he often wears Mighty Vigor on the Lader, so it would have run out and hadnt removed/changed set-up's
