if anyone could please give me a link to download free sowtware to use to make avatars that would be great also if you could post a tut on how to use it that would also be great thanks in adavnce just post a reply giving me the link to the software

i've seen that thread and i tryed using GIMP and most of the editors on wikipedia well i tryed to use GIMP but i checked and couldn't download it i went to its website and kept looking for the download link but i couldn't find it GIMP is the one i really wanted to use

There is a big orange download button on the top banner if the gimp site :shock:

now it says i need to download GTK+ 2.14.4 or higher and i did and it still says that same error occured what do i need to do?

oh i downloaded the wrong version it was GTK+ reuntime i downloaded the regular GTK+ now i'm downloading the right one
