I was just using this on an RG run, first time I have done a dungeon in over a month and first time I used the skill.

 

Typically this will be used on a prophet to reduce their threat and make them invulnerable.

 

However, it stuns them and makes them unable to fight/heal.

 

So, whats the point exactly?

Yeah, awesome gold sink!

 

HCS please change this skill to something useful like other classes received

 

Such as

I haz armor - Make armor avoiding combat skills no longer avoid armor for 20 seconds

Impale those MoFo's - Impale generates 200% DPS and 100% threat for 10 seconds

Killer Avalanche - 200% melee DPS hit and 5 seconds stun

ooooh, check my health out - Increase health by 100% for 1 minute

 

^ Yes pretty lame and overpowered by hey gotta start somewhere :)

Throwing some suggestions :

1. Apply glaciate to everyone in caster's radius of 2 yards for 4s. Glaciate silences, reduces MS by 90%, amplify received damage by 15%.

2. Apply "glaciate" to ally for 4s, "glaciate" stun, reduce damage by 50% and lower target threat by 20%. After glaciate ends, apply "cleansed" for 6s. "Cleansed" grants +20% mana effectiveness and amplify damage by +150%.

i Was really upset yesterday as i tought they would change that crap skill also, avalanche  since they are the "expensive"  skills for tank, but to see how useleess they are is really annoying, we don't get anything good after empathy from trainer  to buy .. well some people might like avalanche for pvp, but even with the bost they gave yesterday to it i still think it's  trash/filler in the talent tree  just as shit as glaciate is on the shop.

 

We want usefull skills and i totally think this 2 need to be rethinked/changed.  They are so useless u can Clear game most hard dungeon (ARG) without even using them   so if they not needed in that why would they be good for ?

maybe Glaciate should just root the target in place instead of stunning them.

glaciate is fun :)

 

have only used it seriously 4-5 times on quarantos (spelling?) when someone gets rock thrown at them. a quick glaciate and they are safe and dont have to move. Apart from that I have found no way to use it properly as if someone takes agro are underr attack then I am more interested in taunting to get control back.

 

It is fun though when in a fun party to help people chill out a bit :)

I wonder if it will be a needed skill in the level 50 dungeons.  Remember when Thrade (sp?) singled out Rangers? :D

Haven't seen this in action yet, but the 2 second cast time seems long to me for a last ditch save someone's ass move.
