Fix the GvG range?

  1. Like a long time ago (8 votes [50.00%])

    Percentage of vote: 50.00%

  2. No +/-100 is ok for a 3k (1 votes [6.25%])

    Percentage of vote: 6.25%

  3. I dont like GvG so ill vote this to ruin it in any way possible for everyone else (7 votes [43.75%])

That is the current GvG ranges, at 700 it stops. 

Could I suggest,,,

701-900  +/-100

901-1200  +/-200

1201-1500 +/- 300

1501-1800 +/- 400

1801-2100 +/- 500

2101-2400 +/-600

2401-2700 +/- 700

2700-3000 +/- 800

3001-3500 +/-900

3500-4000 +/- 1000

At this point we can see where EOC goes as always its all just a loose suggestion and in no way should be rejected based solely on the ranges and levels I put in. The jist is not only does this give players more range to work with but incentive to level higher as well

All ranges need a rework.  The last time PvP or GvG ranges were modified, EoC was around where am now and the population was much larger as well.  There are many times that I can't defend a GvG as much as I would like to simply because there are no eligible players in range.   There are about a dozen active players in my PvP range as well, and I'm just mid level.   God knows how frustrating a PvP dq is for EoC people.  

 

I know we're busy with the app and all, but things like this should really be addressed before an influx of new app players come on board, shouldn't they?

I think the suggested range changes may be a LITTLE extreme....BUT I do agree they need to be extended past 100!!

Perhaps,, I just followed the trend of an increase every 300 levels and decided 100 was a good cap, otherwise it would end up somthing like 3k-4k +/-3000!

To be fair tho it does look more intimidating than it really is, with the lower levels range being the one counted a 3k can only hit 2401 and up.

Wazzi has a valid point.  the increase should be more manageable, 25 or so for mid tiers, and  50 tops for the upper echelon....  I know it seems a long way to the top, but only those of us that have taken the scenic route are moving so slowly.... there are many at or near EoC that have been here only a handful of years or if not less.

yes that topic appears to have went the way most are nowdays either given the ATA label or just ignored till it drops off the first page of posts.
This is also specific for the ranges that have been neglected since before my long break, (known as b4quit) and came up because of a guild chat discussion over the amazing lack of targets most of us have in current ranges. Its something that really should be fixed before the app since as it is its a anti field of dreams (build it and they wont come) ,,,,apps nowdays all have an in depth and active war system on launch

Another thing that might alleviate the lack of targets would be to expand the time that determines active/inactive.  Currently it's 7 days since last login (you actually get 6, btw), same as Prestige.  Maybe it's time to expand that to 10-14 days.... That would still reduce farming, yet allow more targets for serious GvGer's

(well other than the choice #3 crowd)

Pretty much,, that and all the people who were going to quit over gvgs particularly over all their gear mules being hit and no way to repair it did anyway. Well some, apparently theres still a sliver of the population that would vote for anything to make gvg worse!

I think if they want to try and compete with apps they need to at the very least increase ranges. They SHOULD remove the gear mule rule and let defenders hit as high as they can. Or create a new system for the app that encourages a competition between guilds or even better a competition of several guilds fighting one another in a way that anyone can pop in and help with.

I think the game needs range increases for certain, but the proposed increases via level are not great imo.  I think it is going to take more work then that to get it right.  EOC is probably one of the richest target ranges...so why bump it so much - The 2000's are a hurting bunch.  They need to do a routine populous probe, and increase ranges in the thinner ranges of active players.  A scaling up from bottom to top just isn't good enough or serving the community best they can.

In other games I play with a GvG aspect, there's more to it than just smacking the opponent in such a random fashion.  There are objectives to achieve and all the participants are willing to be there.   Things are scheduled in advance and occur within a locked time period.  The goals are to complete the objectives, and kills are a side goal.     I'm not sure how it would work for FS, but these other games don't have farming issues or the like.

you do know nothing in this thread has any bearing on anything until the app is finished, right?
