I like the current classes but i feel they are too basic. The options are so boring (DPS/Tank/Healer). I feel like this game would benefit greatly with more variety of classes.

Synergist - Basically a supporting class that specializes in short duration single target buffing spells (life-steal, damage, move-speed, haste, attack speed, a shield that absorbs damage based on a % of spell power etc)

Summoner/Beast master - A class that specializes in summoning different monsters to fight along side them (each summon lasts 10-15 seconds with a max amount being able to be controlled a time, summons have mage/ranged/melee basic attacks depending on what is summoned. May also temporarily control an enemy or enemies to fight along side them etc)

Songstress - A class that specializes in debuffing enemies (e.g haste reduction, move-speed reduction, damage reduction, attack speed reduction, silences, fears

Monk - A melee class that fights with their fists (weapon used can be a special kind of gloves or something)

Just my suggestion that the game needs more variety. This will allow a different mixture of teams for dungeons/pvp etc

Feel free to leave your opinion below or make an idea of your own class.

I agree

More class diversity would be even better for more hybrid characters and stuff.

In which case I find that it be easy to make more with more diverse set of weapons such as

a Samurai class that specializes in one handed or two handed swords depending on your skill route

a Ninja class or something simliar that would specialize in throwing weapons

e.t.c

In this way this would also help expand the various armor sets and weapons players could use

I think 6 classes is good for now. Remember you can pick from different talent trees if you want a hybrid character. Summoner sounds cool, but the rest are pretty meh imo.  Ideas such as Ninja and Samurai overlap with Assassin and Warrior.

what about a  character  that can take on  properties  of other creatures and/or even plants?

Morpher! weapon restriction  similar  to that of a monk except for small  magical attack objects like the essences , reduction in  abilities for equip of  improper  weapon.

at max they would be able to summon 1 dragon while also becoming one. for the skills,  basically 3 levels : arms, outer, inner/ and with each level the power and weakness increase!

explanation :arms: both forearms and from knees down take shape of creature

outer: legs, arms, back (wings and tail if applicable) , and muzzle (if applicable ).

inner: full body  transformation  along with attributes.

spells would be order by power of creatures in world with first being Copy Animal: morph into targeted creature

i like these  just implementing them would be fine..

however drawing off a branched suggestion from the other class suggestion thread... they said how about just titles if have X points in Y class and B points in A class... what if that was altered a bit....

and instead of just titles having certain amounts of points in a certain class/group of classes would unlock 2ndary talent tree's?

so say i want to be summoner i'ld need to put 25 points into mage (must have void portal) and 13 points into prophet (must have ancestrial spirit) and that unlocks the summoner class...  but also if have 25 points in mage and 13 points into prophet(must have life breather) it unlocked a necromancer

now this would be getting realy advanced and would be high level it would be beyond lvl 50 content but then the number of classes could be vertualy limitless

idk maybe that over complicates things i do that sometimes haha but could be interesting and games these days need some complication (advanced builds/game play) :)

no longer playing so feel free to ignore more (if i even post) just do still follow forums so MAY comment from time to time.

Inventor/Gatherer class - Skills that are similar to the Inventor/extractor skills in FS.

- A caveat would be that they would have to introduce failure into creating/inventing. Its really isnt all that realistic that you have 100% invent rate. This would mean that crafting items would have similar return from vendoring as regular items without breaking the game economy.

- Would have skills specific to different gathering/inventing jobs so that there it would be more specialized.

I would say that this class will probably be for a secondary character after the primary ones. Maybe something for the future, I suggest maybe have a parallel level up skill point that is specific for gathering/inventing.

Regener - A different type of tank, Specialized in regenerating HP/MP during fights. talents would relate to HP/MP regeneration.

-Sample talent would be: +5/10/15% HP regeneration for every piece of heavy? armor. +5/10/15% MP regen for every light armor. +2.5/5/7.5% for every medium. -> top line.

- Talents that may relate to specific skills.

- Stance that double combat regeneration.

EDIT: double post

Monk class should have no weapons, and instead have a passive bonus if they use nothing but their fists. A dodge tank with light armor?maybe a support healing (every time they do melee damage they heal in an area around themselves) as well as situational healing spells with a decent cool down based off their melee?

*edit*

If some form of monk was implemented if it was a fighter or like a weird off healer (depending on how you went down the tree) i'd play it instead of a mage/prophet

when i read the last idea "dodge tank" - the only thing i can think about is Tera-Online Warrior :) which is basically an Evasion Tank, which generates agro by annoying the enemy and dodging all his attacks then ... i dont think this could work here in eldevin as the system is just not built for something like this, that you can actually dodge attacks like you can do in Tera ...

but yeah some new classes would be nice i think - necromancer jammy :) thinking off diablo 2 right now :)

Necromancer has been suggested in an unofficial way. If i recall correctly the devs like the idea of a necromancer/summoner

Though i've never played final fantasy XI online, I was thinking more along the lines of a ninja from that game. Mostly being an off tank who has a high chance to dodge the majority of the boss's attacks.
