Ran 2 story mode BT issue with chest loot drop's.

 

first run killedfirstboss just fine droped chest

2 nd boss  middle - no chest

killed 3 rd chest loot

killed shadow caster

 

2 nd run no chest drop from first 3 boss

only loot from shadow caster ?

 

Is there some kinda of bug going on here ?

 

Or what some thing changed was not added to patch note's ?

couple of reports of this in the 1.21 upgrade thread too - for BT & GC story mode.

 

I found it depended on whether any minions were still around after I killed the boss, but 4+4 is not a big statistical sample

Kill all basic mob's in area before boss, so not issue some thing wronge with loot sys not with mob being killed.

 

BT large area, Clear all trash mob's before killing any 3 boss not right as each boss follow's path, Clear each path up to boss, Not sure why reporting issue some wronge with this.

12 bosses 8 chests tonight.

 

My correlation broke: it doesn't matter whether or not the boss is killed last.

Update Vault issue story mode very nasty. pic see.

 

As you can see no chest drop now unable pass to the last boss very nasty issue.

Bump: this hopefully get some word from GM - as this in all story mode DGN - Vault key item's not droping is majjor issue.

Just ran BT story mode.

 

Killed first boss (spinny guy) - chest dropped

Killed second boss (spider guy) - no chest drop

Killed third boss (lich something) - no chest

Killed final boss - chest dropped

and just like that, BT solo died.......45s with no gear has been pentalized again!

 

I hope they don't do this to other story modes DX

It was intended for players who could not find or did not want to group to gain their relics. Seems to work fine to me in that regard?

vault needs fixing as someone on EU server could get to last boss as the chest didn't drop that has the valve in it to get to the last boss.

I can confirm the Vault Key doesn't drop on every run in story mode - that's a big issue. If you can't get the vault key, you can't finish the dungeon. Why run the dungeon if 50% of the time, you may or may not be able to complete it?

 

I understand that you want to remove some rewards, but removing the chests I don't think is the way to go. Maybe reducing random loot drops would be a better way, but killing bosses (story mode or not) should at least give you some type of chest.

It was intended for players who could not find or did not want to group to gain their relics. Seems to work fine to me in that regard? 

For now there aren't many people doing dunegon runs specailly to help those who need gear. What kind of choice was that to get rid of chests; that's just makes things harder.

Hi there. We've fixed the specific problem with the boss that drops the key and the steam valve. The fix should go live with our next update. The chests no longer have a 100% drop from bosses in story mode, which will be why your not seeing all the bosses dropping loot.

This decision on chests is extremely unfortunate, and a shame they didn't make it explicit in the update. I could understand the xp nerd, but the amount of gold being awarded on BT story mode was a lot smaller than the multiple 1000gs I wish to spend on each character to acquire scrolls and upgrade mounts. It might have seems too much gold if you already have spent a lot of time running dungeons in groups and are fully upgraded, but if you are not in those groups then these upgrades now just seem out of reach.
