Hey guys!

 

I'm working on setting up some achievements and was wondering if anyone had some neat ideas to go into the game. I can't make any guarantees but I'd love to hear some opinions!

hmm,

* everyone could have stated the most powerful creature killed, maybe after some (selected) strong creatures kills will have audiences in palace.

* if your system counts players kills, his/her name could have a title automaticaly assigned by the system - like '"majjer, the chicken killer".

 

maybe some combination of both ideas

I have no idea of numbers so xxx marks the spot 

 

Old MacDonald: Harvest xxx crops.

Gold in them thar hills: Mine xxx ore.

Greedy Guts: Create xxx of food items

Pot addict: Create xxx potions

 

Guess many of gathering/crafts could have achievements.

 

Blood Lust: Kill xxx players in the PvP arena

No I in Team: Kill xxx creeps (non boss) whilst in a group

Dungeon Master: Kill xxx boss's in dungeons (group or solo)

Profession ideas:
 

Farming beginner - Reach level 5 in farming.

Farming intermediate - Reach level 15 in farming.

Farming expert - Reach level 30 in farming.

 

(Applies for each individual profession)

 

The professional - Reach level 30 in all professions. (if more are introduced into the game the player has to re-acquire the achievement).

 

General ideas:

 

New to nature - Kill 50 creatures on your travels.

Bane of the Wildlife - Kill 500 creatures on your travels.

Dissector - Kill 2,500 creatures on your travels.

Who created these? - Kill 10,000 creatures on your travels.

Am I the only one who knows the secret? - Kill 50,000 creatures on your travels.

Maybe I'll stop and try out cowboy style. - Kill 5,000,000 creatures on your travels. 

 

Am I a hero now? - Acquire a Heroic item

 

I thought this was max level? - Reach level 30.

End-game..or is it? - Reach level 50.

 

The cows personal cleaner - Harvest 50 Dung piles.

 

Also the date the achievement was acquired next to each one .

 

I could sit here and come up with loads more I love this sort of thing lol.

This may be lost on some players but how about using these names for these.

 

 

Farming beginner - Reach level 5 in farming.

Oliver Wendel Douglas (Green Acres)

 

Farming intermediate - Reach level 15 in farming.

Mr. Green Jeans (Captain Kangaroo)

 

Farming expert - Reach level 30 in farming.

Freeman Lowell (Silent Running)

Olympic Flame - Run xxx meters with torch equipped

 

Mr Smith - Create xxx weapons/armor

The achievement levels could be narrower too...5,10,20,30 with the top one...Guru ie: Farming Guru

I like your thinking but I fear lost on too many...I've already suggested my ideas for generic profession titles, but if you want to go down the route of craft specific....

 

Then maybe....Green Fingers ---> Greensleeves ---> Cabbage Patch Kid ---> Old McWhasisname in farming.

 

killing passive creatures.....Frogger ---> Ratcatcher ---> Pied Piper ---> Elmer Fudd

Adding a few more to the list.

 

Mystical Market based:

 

Am I emotional enough for you yet? - Learn 15 Emotes.

Vanity keeps me from Insanity - Purchase a vanity item from the Mystical Market.

Who knew dragons were so willing? - Fly to a destination 100 times with the instant dragon.  

Rich IRL - Spend 50,000 Eldevin points.

 

All of these give achievement hunters a goldsink or if they spend real money they fund HCS further.

 

 

General:

 

Dual-a-jack - Cut down a tree while duel wielding axes. (General achievement)

I have the power! - Learn every ability in the game. (Gold sink)

Some dragons are mean - Slay a dragon. (General achievement)

Did I just get ripped off? - Sell a Heroic item to a NPC shop. (General achievement)

Thanks for all the suggestions guys, they've been helpful. Some of the ideas were already in my spreadsheet, which is reassuring me that we're thinking along the same lines.

One achievement name that was suggested was in fact already in the game. For the exact same achievement.

If you have more ideas then keep 'em coming. I'm still working on them and am open to ideas!

Environmentalist: Pick 150 weeds

 

Angler: Catch 50 Fish

Poseidon: Catch 150 Fish

 

Campist: Start 50 Fires

Arsonist: Start 150 Fires

 

Well Off: Collect 50 Silver

Rich: Collect 50 Gold

Monopoly: Collect 150 Gold

CEO: Have 200 Gold in Bank

 

Karma Points

Good Karma: Feed 10 Animals (Add Option)

Bad Karma: Kill 10 Animals

Is there a way you could add a search function to the achievements?  One popped up on my screen and it took me a while to dig around through all the tabs to find what it was for.  A simple title search so we can find what we just achieved if it's not obvious from the title lol.

Make the farm in Crystal Coast usable and set an achievement/quest to harvest 25 crop of Flax. Must be completed before level 25. Give a reward of at least Rare, but preferable Heroic class, Charm, Ring, or Amulet. Maybe even let the player choose from the 3 to keep some variance in game.

Molasses Buster - Complete a dungeon w/in 5 levels in over 1 hour. 

Speed Buster - Complete a dungeon w/in 5 levels in under 10 minutes. 

 

Heroic Buster - Complete a dungeon w/in 5 levels solo.
