Nope... I have literally been pretty much inactive with occasional log ins to say hello to friends and smash players in my level range now and again... since last double xp event when I decided to take a break nothing and I mean NOTHING has changed. If nothing is being done for this game why would a new “same” game make playing any different? I’m just starting to be active here again because winter is coming and I stay inside when it’s cold lol... Hopefully this gam gets life before they create something that’s new but the same...

I think it would be interesting to have a "hardcore" realm. Once your character is killed, it's gone and you have to make a new one. You can only spawn a hardcore character from an existing account (the name will be the same) that has reached say level 100, so people aren't just making crazy alts to have a bunch at once.

You can't spend money on your hardcore realm characters.

PvP is done sort of like in the Arena. Put together a set and then attack a player. They will then have the opportunity to put on a set of their own and either accept or decline the request, as losing means losing your character. Of course you wouldn't know what equipment or buffs they had at the time.

i see no one has replied to this in a while. A new server would kill off the game. There's not enough people playing it atm and i doubt enough would come back. I started playing in 2009 and played for about 1 and a half years and then stopped for about 6 years and have just recently come back. This game has some sort of magic to it and its a shame i missed so much from the game.

i think theres nothing wrong with a new server to run alongside this current server, however like all ideas, good or bad, it will be given zero consideration

Do we really need a breeding ground for multis?  I don't believe so.

I feel like the option would be great but in a less serious manor. I don't know. There's obviously a old player vs new player battle. I think the ripple effect of the new server, might help prolong the game in general, And if there's the option old players can start again, aswell as play their old characters on this server. then you might find alot of old players returning. I'd like to see it at having 2 different games to play but it being the same game. You do what you have to do on your main char, then go to the new one like you've been re-birthed. I'm open minded but understand the point you've all made in the past. Either way i think what ever choice will work, new server or not.

Here we are. 1+ Year later from the original post. I, nor the FS gaming community is getting any younger. Please give us a fresh game to get the *Fresh* air moving again. Before we all inevitably turn to dust/ Faded memory.

All the best fs. Jack

I'm not any fonder of this idea than I was in the beginning.  I foresee too many problems.  The game is suffering now, more load on the servers and dev team will only make that exponentially worse.  And I still think it's wrong for a player to have an original character here, and an "alt" on another.  In order for this to be done fairly, a player would have to  choose keeping their original or starting over, and that would further fracture an already dwindling community.  I'm sorry BJ, I just can't stand behind this.......

Cant see the sense in a new server.

Unless a new server is for game development and testing code before it goes live on the real server.

That may negate many of the issues we have with broken code going live and waiting for fixes.

A server for testing before implementation would be great - been something players have mentioned, on and off, for years.

Homer : Marge, don't discourage the boy. Weaseling out of things is important to learn. It's what separates us from the animals .. except the weasel.

Eddie Izzard : The National Rifle Association say that guns don't kill people, people do. But I think the gun helps, you know ? I think it helps. I think just standing there going "BANG" - that's not going to kill too many people, is it ?

I don't mean to sound pessimistic, but it seems that everything I eat lately turns to poo ...

That's entirely different.  We had a special server to test the new map when it was in development.  Everybody had a new character to work with, and once testing was done those characters along with the testing environment, were deleted. That's something I feel FS does need, even if only the dev team is using it.

But a server just to start over? That's just unnecessary for one thing.

I play lots of games where they have umpteen separate servers.  On those games, new players are directed to the newest server to start.  But those games are also set up so that the casual player, the one that either can't or doesn't want to play every day, loses progress in relation to the rest of the server.  In these games, your battle power,  or however they term it, is the be all and end all.  FS isn't that kind of game.  We're all moving at our own pace, and it doesn't matter if a player is a daily player or plays only sporadically, each individual's progress is up to them and has no bearing on their standing in the community.  The community is the central theme here.  A separate server will just separate us.  We don't need that, we just need a game that works well at least most of the time.  Why not let the dev team focus on that (and the app too, I suppose) without throwing more complications into the mix, hmm?

This is a very real possibility when the App is out of Beta, but then our current accounts could also be reset.

That would sadly be my very last day.  I have 12 and a half years in this one, no way would I willingly start over.  If I was forced to do so, I'd definitely wander off to another game.

Our current accounts could also be reset.

Why would we forceably undo peoples levelling in that manner? A lot of players, like Penny have invested a lot of time in their account. Yeah, no.
