added bonus of deep is u can pair it up with mancrusha

yup , thats the best part of the deep set

Personally, I think the best part of the deep set is that it allows you to storm levels 80-90. Except if you have a fully forged everything, you wont keep the Deep+Mancrusha combo for more then 5-10 levels.

yeah, i sold my deep set when i can wear helmet of ilami at 130, then + ethereal demon sword and dark ethal shield, glove of sull for the attack

i kept my gloves of the deep, still wearing them now at lvl 151.
maegglin, you wrote
Dreaded level 140. I checked people at that level - the best combo I've found was a Mancrusha + Drake (sword, shield, rune) + boots of rekamas + helmet of ilami. Total:

720 Att
608 Armor
1333 Damage
did you check stats for some1 with a complete mancrusha set (boots as well) drake sword, etheral shield, deep gloves and decay rune?

Without any bonuses or level points - plain equipment stats. All perfect and not forged.

Set1: Mancrusha, Drake sword, Drake shield, Helmet of Ilami, Rune of decay, Gloves of the deep.

Attack - 445
Damage - 1370
Armor - 570
Hp - 5

Set 2: Decay, Drake sword, Drake shield, Boots of Umah, Jahd ring, Rykal amulet (I kept this cheap and did not took Mancrusha amulet)

Attack - 425
Damage - 1335
Armor - 585
Hp - 5

Is the 1st set better ? Yes, by a few points. Can the second set do just as much as the first ? Probably. Does the second set cost 1 tenth of the first one ? Certainly.

One more math example proving the ultimateness of the Decay set :) - What would be, according to you, the maximum damage one can achieve between 140 and 150 ?

Here comes:

280 points in damage

Decay set
Drake sword and shield
Mancrusha amulet
Boots of Umah
Jahd ring

All perfect and fully forged.

Regular guild bonuses

Lvl 145:) Fury, Beserk and Enchant weapon

Result:

Attack 594
Armor 632
Damage 2055!!!!!!

It might seem a bit extreme - however, what this means is that you should be capable of one hitting monsters like Slothers, Sabertooth Rockcats and Ashen Goats ! That's a major breakthrough in the "you cannot one hit kill past 140" mentality. As for costs - the whole gear costs a lot less then the fully forged Deep+Mancrusha I see soo often.

I have to apologize... I redid my maths today and I overevaluated the damage of this setup It is in fact:

Attack 616
Armor 660
Damage 1995

(I added a 145 enchanted armor for a few more attack points)

This should still be enough for one hittin the monsters I mentioned, with an 145 Dark Curse

You are level 138 not 120 I think - you could go with boots of Umah, Jahd ring, and Nomad skull amulet at level 144.

To answer your question - at level 120:

Decay set
Deep shield
Tazma Mallet (or wait 121 for Ethereal Demon sword)
Rykal boots and amulet
Ring of Papelm

The last four ones are flexible, depending on what you are facing.

I still think the Cracked Lava Shield is a Suitable replacememnt for the Deep Shield in these cases.

hmmm..it seems teh Zegh set works perfectly with the Decay set.

Can anybody tell me if this will work out? Work out as in 1-hit monsters without risk of dying.

It works Deemer...just look at me - Been doing this for a while - nothing forged, nothing perfect....one hit kills all the way. For Poison frogs I might buy a dark curse, at 130 I'll get the boots of Umah ...with some forging I might even get to 140 when I'll definetely break the Zegh

i think that maegglin should be taken by HCS as financial advisor :D because he's wasting his time with these maths when he could use his skills for something better

lol
well ive never worn decay (other than when i wanted to craft some items) I dont see it as a very appealing set apart from the rune, I used deep, then deep and mancrusha, now mancrusha, and 1 hit all the way to lvl 140 and didnt need to worry about buffs or dying.
If its possible to struggle by with decay then fair enough.
Personaly i like the nice easy life, i have the FSP so i buy nice shiney sets that destroy any creature in my way :)

That's one (BIG) problem in this game and what discourages new players - there are a few high level players, which got here first, have all the fsp they need and despise low level players. practically now I'm level 83 and on 2700 position. this mean that on the 150 levels above me there a only 18 players on each level. these very high level players fix the prices for deep, mancrusha, fsp, buffs, have 2000 stamina and 80-85 stamina per hour...and this is the reason why a lot of the 900.000 players quit playing FS after 15-20 levels because they can not afford the costs of playing. imagine the sets at low prices - everybody wold like playing but now it's ridiculous - the deep set costs 50-70 USD -are you nuts, guys? decay is a GOOD and CHEAP alternative for your very expensive sets and on statistics even better

I got here over a year after this game started, and still managed to get full perfect forged mancrusha and deep, and one of the richest guilds in the game. it can be done, and yes, I've paid. once, I bought 400FSP. thats it, and that was after I had most of my wealth, and it was given to guildmates. all you need to do is be able to wkrk hard, if you aren't willing to do that, you shouldn't be playing anyways.

we're off the subject deep versus decay but my dear tawniteamo, how could you come after a year from the beginning when the game started 11 months ago? how could you get so fast when it's impossible to make more than 1,5 lvl per day with all tha buffs? myself, i am playing for almost 3 months and have the possibility to play even at work durnig the breaks :D but without all this time to spend it's impossible

Happy for you people. Competely unrelated, I just got pvped by a deep/mancrusha owner Ewok. I doubt a rich guy like him was after a measly 3 FSP worth of loot...feels nice to be appreciated.
