i think you should get additional frags for fragging forged items. this would help thin out the incredible surplus of forged common crap and also maybe increase the value of forged gear closer to the actual cost to forge gear.
i think the number of forges on a piece should act as a multiplier for fragments received from fragging a piece.
maybe my example ramps that up quite a bit, maybe a bit too much, maybe a .5 modifier could be applied to smooth that out a bit.
examples:
number of fragments received incrementing upward by a multiple of frags from the previous level * forges
1 frag item : 1,2,6,24,120
2 frag item : 2,4,12,48,240
3 frag item : 3,6,18,72,360
4 frag item : 4,8,24,96,480
5 frag item : 5,10,30,120,600
or:
1 frag item : 1,2,3,4,5
2 frag item : 2,4,6,8,10
3 frag item : 3,6,9,12,15
4 frag item : 4,8,12,16,20
5 frag item : 5,10,15,20,25
the second model doesnt feel to me to be as scalable or realistically justify the cost of fragging any decent forged items.
what do you all think?
discuss.
