You are asked to create an avatar or signature following the weekly theme.

This week's theme is: The realm of the Dead

 

There is an entry fee of 1 FSP.

Current pot: 16 FSP

 

Entries are due on: Sunday 19^th January, 23:59 ST.

#1- Work must be original, pre-made works will not be accepted.

#2- Work must be done by you.

#3- No time extension will be given.

Will 1st place get all the fsps? If not, what do 2nd and 3rd get? Do people that don't place get anything? Who is judging?

The person who wins each week gets the pot, there will be a voting thread put up at the end of the week, it will be down to the voters who wins.

 

I'm planning on having a GoTW running each week, and might even split it so there is an AoTW and a SoTW running at the same time. This was just to re-start things.

Or it's a general theme?

A general theme Roan, basically what comes to mind when some-one asks you what the realm of the dead looks like, what happens after death? Use your imaginations, I hope you'll join in. (didn't know there was a game with this title heheh)

(btw I think these should have a prize pot in addition to the entry fee. Might attract more artists with shiny purple orbs that way. I'd be happy to put up a prize)

A good idea, I will happily add 5 FSP to the pot as an incentive for people to join, and will of course accept donations to the pot, anything that makes this more inviting to artists to join. Though the joy of making art is the true point of these contests!

I most likely will be getting in on this, but I'm curios as to how the themes will be chosen weekly?

 

 

 

 

Oh and I was just curios, since this is the GotW; do we have to be limited to making just an avatar or signature? (obviously there would have to size restrictions)

Be good to have you, as for the themes I chose them at random usually, though I'm open to suggestions for themes, it can be quite hard coming up with them sometimes so they are challenging but not too hard, this is meant to be fun after all.

 

And I tend to stick to Avatars and Sigs, as that way the folk taking part can sell the work afterwards should they wish too, though I may do a wallpaper or banner week if folk want me too.

I don't think I'll be entering afterall. Had to pick up an extra class to get enough credit hours. Bah!
