Hello. Can you increase loading speed for prev maps by increasing RAM and HD space for them? Because if I play dungeons in "story mode" these loading windows tooks to long...
Need to much time for prev maps and most of all for dungeons in story mode when playing again, again and again... :(

Or create checkbox with description: :)
Increase loading speed for prev maps (uses more RAM and HD)

Try preloading the game files. It takes some time, but it helps.

And one ignores Dark Helmet at their own peril. :)

HCS already caches all files as they're downloaded.  It should only download a file again if it has changed since it was last accessed.  The option for preloading has already been discussed by others.

As for available memory, this is controlled locally by Java.  See suggestions below.

Two more suggestions if you're running Eldevin via the client on Windows

1.  You can increase the memory allocated to Java.  I never saw any improvement, but perhaps try 1536M or 2048M.  In the Eldevin directory, modify the -Xmx variable in the .ini file.  (If you're running in the browser, this is instead changed via the Java console.)

2.  Run the Eldevin diagnostic.  Using the command prompt, go to the Eldevin directory.  Use the command

  jre\bin\javaw -jar Eldevindiag.jar

Try both the 'validate cache' and 'diagnostic' options.

If you need more detailed instructions let me know.  Another platform, someone else will have to step in.
