Hello future, current, and maybe even past Fallensword players
At the request of a fellow forumer i decided to make a guide on how to make FSPs (Fallensword Points). I will only be going over some of the less detailed ways to profit for the sake of the guide edition *New Player Edition*. Which also includes in depth explanation of gold upgrades and how they benefit you to do with potential profit margins.

1.9 ... Low Investment Scavenging (Backpack/Component/Auction House Slots/Gold required)
Gold upgrades are a cheap and finite alternative to upgrading via FSPs. They are to be focused and upgraded before all else. Gold upgrades consist of backpack slots/component slots/gold deposits/current stam (daily reset) and max stam (daily reset). All of which are important upgrades for your character. If you are a new player starting up you want to primarily focus on upgrading your max stam as it allows you to turn a profit in GvG/Titan Hunting/leveling/pvp ladder more easily. Backpack/components should come second to max stam. Backpack becomes very useful and profitable in the end game. In order of priority that you should focus on upgrading should be Max Stam/Stamina Gain>Backpack>AH>Components>Deposits. It would advantageous to set a personal goal of 10k max stam before spending too much money on the other upgrades. Another cheap alternative to gold upgrades which also should be upgraded as soon as possible are the start/champion packs. They offer many different upgrades at a cheapened cost.
I won't go too in-depth of the mechanics of GvG rather how to effectively profit through it. A nice guide to check out to do with GvG would be Tuvok's GvG Guide which i linked above. GvG is a very cheap stamina investment for a very big FSP turn out. Most guilds pay 4 fsps +-1 for every GvG won. Each GvG Costs 250 stamina or less which is very doable by most of you guys out there reading this thread. Even if you only have 500-1000 stamina you are able to make at least 15-20 FSPs a day with minimal effort. It's very important to also use the buff "Conserve" to save extra stamina to allow you to complete more GvGs. Most GvG guilds will post ads on the home page or FSbox stating they are looking for GvGers for higher. More often than not these guilds will even provide you the gear and buffs which means you don't have to invest anything to do this. In my opinion this would be the best method to make FSPs in the beginning of the game as it teaches you key game mechanics as well as gives you fast and easy FSPs to upgrade your character.
1.2 ... Potion Making/Resource/Frag farming
Spoiler
This is probably one of the worst profit methods out of them all but i put it in here because it is essentially effortless. You can easily do this in your sleep with no game knowledge whatsoever. You can either sell the resources directly or make potions out of them. I don't recommend making potions unless you have at least 100 BP space/40 AH slots and 50 component slots. You would simply farm resource drops from various monsters in fallen sword. Common potions made are black death as they are so simple to make. They require 1 jademare blossom which need to be farmed and 3 trinettle plants/1 potion bottle which can be bought from NPC shops in the realm. One of the best monsters to farm jademare plants from are Hell Hounds (http://guide.fallens...ype=-1&sort_by=) Which can be found in that link. They are best to farm on the Ramdel caves (level 4). They are a fairly low level monster and really don't require any buffs to kill once at least level 30-40. When resource farming the buffs that you want to use are "Resource finder" and "Reckoning". It's very important not to use the buff Find Item as it will prioritize non resource drops and you will get a bunch of junk items that serve no purpose to you. You would then either directly sell the resources to another player or on the AH and be done or make potions. If you do so choose the potion making route you would want to aqquire the desired potion recipe *only need to get it once* and load your components with extracted jademares and leave 6 component slots open. At this point you would move to a NPC vender to purchase trinettle plants and potion bottles. First you would want to visit the potion bottle vender which can be located here http://guide.fallens...iew&shop_id=226 at the home teleport. You would then list all the bottles on your AH and move onto the trinettle NPC shop. The trinettle npc shop can be found here http://guide.fallens...view&shop_id=20... You would then extract 6 trinettles and cancel some potion bottles from your AH. At this point you would want to find the buffs inventor 1/2. Once your all set you will then start inventing the potions which can be found in Action>Inventing on the toolbar of Fallensword. Rinse and repeat . Another alternative to this would be simply just fragment farming. Many composers contract out frag farmers to farm them items in which they break down to create potions through composing. The rates very but common items are generally in need. You can also farm Legendary frags during event times for better rates. To frag farm you would simply want the buffs reckoning and a find item (1000) potion *Potion of supreme luck* which can be found in the potion bazaar and on the AH for cheap. You would find a suitable monster to farm for your level and either sell them to players or on the AH for anywhere from 50-75 frags:1 FSP. The higher level the item the more fragments each item is worth.
1.21 ... Item Inventing
Spoiler
Like any old trade in FS it's all about demand... You need to invent things that are currently in need otherwise they wont sell. There are all sorts of item inventing such as "Arena inventing" Which uses a combination of items and components obtained through the arena to make some handy sets. There are other variations such as "Epic inventing" etc... What i often like to do is "penny invent" which is a term i use to explain my little spin of inventing. It's a long process but it's worth it in the end. Target your items that you want to make and slowly buy the mats from the AH when they are super cheap. After about 3-4 months of investment you should have quite a few mats then you would invent the items. Depending on the quantity of items obtained you can either use normal inventing buffs. These would be inventor 250 "http://guide.fallens...set=0&sort_by=1" and inventor II 192 which is a buff from players. It's very important to make sure your master inventor enhancement is at 100% often epic items carry master inventor. You can also use the buff "Empower" to raise it anywhere from 17.5-19.2%. If this is not maxed you will have more of a chance to fail while inventing. If your looking to mass invent you would want to use the Omacraz Chest and use the Sinuous Spirit Bottle of Omacraz "http://guide.fallens...set=0&sort_by=1 ". This chest can either be bought on the Auction House or donated for in certain times when they are offered as a special deal while donating. It's very important that you do a lot of research before committing to inventing too many of one item or inventing something that is obsolete. This will take quite a few backpack space/component slots depending. You can still do it with low BP space but the profit yield will be greatly decreased. If i had to recommend a starter item to invent and sell i would recommend things that are invented in special events because you can farm the materials yourself. It would be a good learning experience to prep you for when you actually invest FSP's.
1.3 ... Titan Hunting
Spoiler
Titan Hunting can be one of the most profitable methods if done correctly. Titan hunting generally acquires atleast 2k stamina and a suitable guild to be efficient. You can TH with friends or alone whichever you please. Titans have a chance to spawn every hour and will pop up on the home page stating they have spawned in the realm and it will tell you which map. Either that or you can open up your guild scout tower by clicking on the structure in your guild management page. If you wish to TH and your guild doesn't have the structure you might want to relocate. Once you get to the map the titan is on you will see the titan spawning on the map you simply move to it and kill it. You want to be buffed with teleport/titan doubler/light foot/conserve to make this efficient. You also need sufficient damage buffs and gear to kill them. Some titans level 500- titans can make you up to 100 FSPs per item and only cost about 2500 stamina with high Lightfoot/conserve levels! This is one of the more challenging profit methods but i do suggest you get familiar with it because it will help you later on in the game.

1.4 ... PvP Arena
Spoiler
Because you are new players the only way you can profit in the PvP arena is to join a guild that supplies arena gear. Not really much to explain here you must have vast knowledge of game mechanics to profit in this. This is not recommended to people who do not wish to spend a lot of trial/error and time learning. You might want to find a mentor to do with this because there is too much for me to explain here in this thread...You can easily find them on the top rated arena page. This method requires absolutely no stamina but you have to risk small gold amounts each time you play. If done correctly you can make over 100 FSPs a week through the PvP Arena.
1.5 ... PvP Ladder
Spoiler
Like the PvP arena in order to efficiently profit through this you must join a guild that will supply you gear. You must also understand how PvP works and be very active as this works essentially like a ELO ladder. Only the top 3 players get rewarded. 5 PvP tokens = 3 FSPs if you buy the chi strike potion. You lose XP/gold through this so this is not recommended if you don't wish to lose levels. The PvP ladder is also very buff dependent so you might wanna find a guild that doesn't mind buffing you here and there. This would require a lot of time studying buffs and seeing how each of them work alone and together. I highly recommend at some point learning to PvP as it's an essential part of the game and its knowledge will help you in most all aspects.
This is something you should be doing regardless but i added it in here anyways. When hunting make sure to use merchant/treasure hunter buffs to maximize your gold gain per hunt. It's also important to NOT use the buff "Sacrifice" because it sacrifices gold gained per kill for extra XP. Also make sure to deposit the gold or sell gold off on the marketplace once you get over 200-400k as some PvPers will hit you and steal it. Another option is to spend your gold on gold upgrades as you are hunting. It's also very important to be careful when hunting because if you die to mobs they will steal a big chunk of your gold. It's good to hunt with summon shield imp buff just in case.
1.7 ... Fallensword Shards
Spoiler
Like the arena this is also another profit method that costs no stamina at all. This is also a lot less complicated and easy to do. Simply on the Fallensword tool bar go to upgrades>earn points and watch the videos/fill out surveys. It's pretty self explanatory...Once you get 100 shards you can cash them out for 1 FSP.
1.8 ... Merchanting
Spoiler
Merchanting is very unreliable now a days because the market is so unstable but there are still some stable items out there to take advantage of. This will take a lot of research as i don't merchant that much and the market is ever changing. If your going to merchant i recommend you have at least 5-10 AH spaces. Good items to merchant are items that people are going to NEED. That is up to you to figure out because like i said above it's ever changing. Try to buy the items on a 25-40% margin as a safety net just in case something happens. Be very careful not to judge 25-40% off just off an item that only has one auction listed on it. Often people "fake" prices in an attempt to manipulate the price.
1.81 ... Marketplace Flipping (Gold Flipping)
Spoiler
Marketplace gold flipping like the arena/FS shards does not require stamina. Gold flipping can be quite risky especially for lower level players regardless i added it anyway. Lower level players are much more opt to hit someone with 200k opposed to someone in the level 1000+ attack range. I do not recommend doing this until you are a higher level but i wanted to supply you with the knowledge anyway. There are two ways to gold flip, short term and long term flipping. Short term gold flipping is much less profit than long term flipping. It also requires next to no investment so you can do it with practically 1 FSP. It is also very slow but consistent profit. You can pick your flipping margins but i'd recommend these. Whenever the FSP market hits 205k+ sell your FSP and whenever it hits 195k- buy your FSP. If your at least semi-active this might make you 5+ FSPs a week depending on the market. Long term flipping is much more safe and profitable but requires multiple bank deposits/big investments to be efficient. You simply buy gold everytime it peaks at 205k+ and deposit it into your bank. You would keep doing this until a scavenging event comes. In time of scavenging events gold goes for as much as 165k:1FSP sometimes. Scavenging events only pop up maybe 5-8 time a year. You could make as much as a 40k profit margin off each FSP.
1.82 ... Special Item Hoarding (Requires Backpack Slots)
Spoiler
Item hoarding is essentially effortless and costs no stamina. Depending on which items you choose to hoard and sell out of event times you can make a lot of FSPs. It requires a big BP to make a lot of FSPs but anyone can do it. Some good items to hoard and collect in event times are Zombie Brews and Flask of Death. There are other items but these are guaranteed profit. You can pick up Flask of Death in event times for about 6 fsps and zombie brew you can either farm yourself or pick them up for about 50k gold. The longer you wait the more they will be worth. Generally Zombie Brew reach 1 FSP each after 1 month and Flask of Death reach 10-12 FSPs after 1 month. There are other items to flip such as Donation Chests etc... but they require a much larger investment and i didn't find them appropriate for this guide.
Fallensword is a very simple but yet very complex game. It can be very deceiving to do with complexity as it has many unique features. Knowledge is everything in Fallensword and i encourage you to learn whenever possible. There are many resources out there to learn about the game. One of the more useful ones would be the Ultimate Fallensword Guide (http://guide.fallensword.com/index.php) and the Fallensword Wiki (http://wiki.fallensw...x.php/Main_Page)... Even i use these resources constantly! You can look anything in the game up on here. From realms to gear to monster stats to drop rates... It truly has everything and i really encourage you to always use them whenever possible! Also another tool that makes the game much more user friendly is the Fallensword Helper which is a game add-on approved by HCS (Hunted Cow Studios). It can be found through resources>FS Helper or here (https://github.com/f...llenswordhelper). If you have any suggestions to add to the thread or any criticism feel free to post... If you have any specific questions feel free to either message me "EpicPiety", any of my guild members or leave a post down below.
*Under Construction*
*** Will be easier to read/comprehend when it's finished.
Me likes. Looking forward to some of the under construction stuff.
Only suggestion so far is under leveling. Method to reduce gold on hand includes selling and depositing but I would add the daily max Stam gold upgrade (see 1.0). You can do this 25k gold at a time to minimize gold on hand.

Was exactly my thinking . Everything is sort of in "rough draft" mode haha. Good idea
I liked this thread which is often odd in my case. I've got my scruples, lol.
I've skimmed it and hope to provide some "helpful" suggestions to EP's sections for his consideration. Unfortunately (?) this is RL dependent.
Rather than doing the typical Egami-diatribe that makes everybody seasick... I'll try to take everything in order as I have time and add "suggestions" if I think they are "constructive". Everything here is up to EP's consideration in my book... hands down.
I really like 2.0... I play the same way. As an addition, I would add Mowglick's Maps: http://games.jmle.net/fs.htm
I use it all the time and think it is really helpful for new players (and "old" like me) to see the general layout and how to get around. That is something UFSG is definitely lacking.
@1.0.... Good, but rough draft. I'd proffer forth the following:
Not really to be used "before all else". Depends on options. I know this is in beginning stages.
I think the general idea is good, but it drifts off-topic.
In order of priority that you should focus on upgrading should be Max Stam/Stamina Gain>Backpack>AH>Components>Deposits. All that could simply be deleted. I think the key in this section is making clear that the gold upgrades COULD be a cheaper alternative and, depending on MP, should probably be taken advantage of prior to using the the FSP upgrades.
@1.6 (yeah, I skipped some simply because some are under construction or I didn't have anything that I considered to be a valuable suggestion): Here, I don't know... do we "explain" it a bit more? Links to MP, blah, blah? I just have doubts but over-explanation is probably not so great anyway.
Done going through tonight. I hope the FS Community gets involved on giving input. Apologies for what "might" look like spam. I just wanted to keep suggestions separate and wasn't sure how far I'd get.
Great idea... again... all you old-fogies out there... please offer your vast experience! (o0
Edit... just added "please" to the last line, hehe.
Appreciate the feedback. It's sort of still in rough draft mode... I'd like to have it 100% complete and looking easy to read and beautiful before the steam release.
Levelling: probably worth mentioning sacrifice as the counter to merchant/TH
FS shards: probably worth a warning that what is available is highly dependent on where you live, and this gives very little in some parts of the world
low investment scavenging: does this really require backpack/compnent/gold? I took this to include fragment hunting, and if you find a buyer before you start, you can sell fragments with virtually no resources (just keep sending items to your buyer).

Left sacrifice out purposely because this is a guide on profiting...Guess i can mention NOT to run it . FS Shards are dependent on location true... Will squeeze that in somehow. Low investment scavenging yea it will cost BP/Component... Wouldn't be too profitable just to sell the items your going to need to invent potions and list the potions in your AH... Thanks for the input appreciate it really helps me! Like i said i'd like to complete this within a week or two. Was busy with superbowl things today so was busy all day and couldn't add anything .
Avatar making, custom theme making..I made like more than hundred point making avatars and theme...but well, you need skill and at least some experiences for this...not so efficient I guess.lol

While that is a good idea...It's not really part of "Game Mechanics". It would only appeal to a very limited amount of players.
A good profit method for newer players is FS Shards and lately over the past year there has been a severe lack of videos and doable offers...Anyway you can contact the company asking why? There are NEVER videos... It's also not just me it's people from all parts of europe, all parts of US, and asia.
Exactly if they need to learn to use TH, they probably need to learn not to use sacrifice - and it does come in some of the GE potions.
Low investment scavenging yea it will cost BP/Component...
It might be my use of words. I was thinking of "scavenging" rather than "Scavenging" (i.e. gathering anything, rather than specifically in the caves) which then includes gathering items for someone else to use. If you have a regular buyer for fragmenting, you can send them items as you hunt and they pay you later---so you end up using their back pack space and don't *need* your own. There also used to be a lot of the same thing with farming for potion-merchants , but maybe the economy doesn't support both farmers and potion makers now.

They more or less died out for me (UK) during the last couple of days of the first triple-shards event. Never more than a trickle ever since. Not even the usual surge around world sporting evens like the rugby and cricket world cups.
I realise this is all about advertisers seeing FS as a good market (more precisely about Matomy etc. convincing advertisers that FS is a good market). Maybe there will be a chance to push this again once the app comes out.
