Medals give bonus?

I been all for a bonus to medals for a long time and the countless times its been asked for.

 

That said yes any bonus should be very small and almost nothing at all for example a pvp medal should give 1-5% damage going from silver to ruby (I suggested this before diamond and feel diamonds should get a bigger bonus perhaps 7.5% damage for this example) so small they dont help at all but simply add another reason to get them.

 

And suggested before here are the bonuses I thought would be good for the cooresponding medals, all go from bronze to ruby,, diamond should have a bigger reward imo

 

Bounty master gives 1-5% more atk

Recruiting= 10-50 bonus FSP

Top 100= pvp protection for 24hours to 5 days

Top player= +1-5 exp gains

Top hoarder= +1-5 gold gain

Loyalty =100-500 loyalty tokens

PvP dom = 1-5% damage

SeS = 1-5% permanent light foot!

adventurer = 1-5% HP

Annual service is a unique one I feel there should be a gift for your FS birthday perhaps a leveling pot that increases to something close to a global chest for diamond,, it wouldnt hurt anyone

Monthly top 10 is also a unique one,, nothing should be added on this till you achieve one year in FS as its way too easy to get this medal in lower levels. After a year perhaps something like prestige where you get a special buff you can activate when you get the medal giving 1-5% extra exp for one hunt.

pvp arena= 1-5% def and armor and is included in arena stats

Titan, like Ses should get 1-5% lightfoot so a diamond titan and SE hunter can get 10% LF total

Treasure hunter = 50-1000 loyalty tokens,,basically a free key of the type you got medal for

Guild loyalty= a deposit of 10k- 1mil is made in your name directly to guild bank

global quest= a free global doubler going from the lowest to highest buff level for each medal tier

global quest top 100 is possably the hardest one to get in the game and so deserves a big bonus but given they get a lot of rewards already I suggest 500-5000 reserve stam (getting top 100 diamond is gonna be epic and deserving of 5k stam)

pvp shasher= another 1-5% damage

phoneix= already got lots of reward so maybe just something like 1 backpack space per medal level (this means you have the phoenix come back and get the 50 levels and 20 days so it isnt exactly a easy medal)

Fragmentor = either make it a joke and give 1-5 common items or maybe 1-5% cheaper repairs

 

Of course your suggestions are great too but thats what I would offer for medals and yes I made sure the easiest ones got the least reward while trying to keep them a bonus related to what the medal was about :)

IF rewards for medals were introduced, which, if you've not already guessed, I'm definately against, then yes, VERY small and negligible. That said ...

Will give MY opinion on this (note Lellarell, I said MY opinion, not HCS's, despite what you think).

 

1. Bounty Master - 1-5% bonus to attack

2. Recruiting - 10-50 fsp

3. Top 100 - PvP protection 1-5 days

4. Top Player - +1/+5 XP Gain

5. Top Hoarder - +1/+5 Gold Gain

6. Loyalty - 100-500 Loyalty Tokens

7. PvP Dominance - 1-5% more damage

8. SES - 1-5% permanent LF

9. Adventurer - 1-5% more HP

 

The 1-5% to stats, are NOT very small nor are they negligible. Enough said I think on those

 

Recruiting - way too easily abused

 

Top 100 - PvP protection for 5 days ? - wow - all the other rewards you're seeking are permanent ;)

 

Loyalty - this is probably one I actually don't have a problem with

9. Phoenix - 1-5 BP slots

 

Any 1-5% boost to stats, see above - still think too much.

 

Annual Service - small gift on your join date b/day - no problem with that.

 

Again, most of your "rewards" are permanent, but monthly top 10 is a one-off ?

The PvP Arena one, out of all of them, is probably WAY overpowered - do you want to give the top players even more of an advantage than they already have ?

in arena it would help but many already complain the top players are unbeatable already so its not like its breaking anything really. Also I hoped people who are for medal bonuses (be careful it sounds like I got you turned over now too :) ) might come up with better ideas than mine.

 

Like monthly top 10, really was out of ideas so yea thats kind of a afterthought maybe a chest like the annual would work too.

I like the frame. But, FOR ME "prizes" should be symbolic just to add an extra value but esteem...

Then here goes my opinion about the values

It's a starter idea:

 

 

Bounty master gives 1-5% more atk                   0,5% Atk

Recruiting= 10-50 bonus FSP                             1-2 FSPs

Top 100= pvp protection for 24hours to 5 days   1 Day

Top player= +1-5 exp gains                                  5000 XP

Top hoarder= +1-5 gold gain                                15000 Gold

Loyalty =100-500 loyalty tokens                           10 Tokens

PvP dom = 1-5% damage                                    0,5%

SeS = 1-5% permanent light foot!                        1 Pot level 200

adventurer = 1-5% HP                                          +3-5 HP

Annual Service   =====================>   2 HP

Guild Loyalty      =====================>   -1% Tax Rate to 2 days (HCS message in  guild chat)

PvP Arena         =====================>    1 Combat Move

Treasure Hunter =====================>   10% OFF to buy the next key (non-cumulative)

Global Quest      =====================>   1 Global Booster Pot Level 250

Smasher           ======================>   0,5% Damage

Fragmenter       ======================>   1 Pot to Break Down x2

Boost to base stats ? - that's definately much more fitting with the "small and inconsequential" idea ...

It wouldn't be breaking anything, no, but it would be reinforcing their ivory towers - and, to get any interest / participation back into the arena, then strengthening those already at the top of their game isn't, IMO, a help ;)

Keep in mind my rewards were based on bronze to ruby for example recruiting (and yes can be abused but that just means keep a closer eye on recruiters and who they bring in),, perhaps add that at least 1 out of 5 recruits must stay 30 days or level 50 or something to weed out 100s of multis that burn 0 stam being counted on actual medal.

recruiting 10 for bronze and 50 for ruby,,, bringing in 25 people to try the game (again check the recruits closer to prevent abuse) isnt a bad exchange but 50FSP for reccomending the game to 2000 people??? its actually a bit undervalued imo

 

top 100 takes 7 days of being the top player in the whole game to get bronze,,, one day of protection isnt a game breaker but to get ruby takes 360 days total? Its worth 7 days and still a very minimal reward (7 days =10FSP)

I don't agree to the high values.... From my view: we always achieved medals "for free", so I don't want to see the medal achievement as a reward taker!

My 2c.

 

Make medals a way for players to get access to some free upgrades. I'm NOT calling for more stamina gain or XP gain, but I daresay a little bit of max stam, bp space, component space or AH space couldn't hurt. I'd even go as far as saying it would add an easy way for low levels to get a little further in the world with some easy achievements, let them get their calves wet, so to speak ...

 

That being said I'd say the rewards should be small but appreciable. The actual rewards are to be decided by HCS, but I'm not against the notion that medal rewards should be implemented. If they are ever implemented they should be of equal rank across all tiers across all medals ... so a diamond loyalty should have as much weight as a diamond bounty hunter medal. Diamond is diamond, after all, no matter where you mine it from ;).

I tried to do rewards for bronze-ruby but either way any suggestions cant hurt and may encourage this idea to get put in keep them comming :)

Not free upgrades. But they could make special upgrades to be UNLOCK with medals, then we just could BUY them after unlock.  ;)

Why not free upgrades? :P. Remember, adding new upgrades takes time, adding free upgrades is quick and easy ;). They gave us 550 FSP+ worth of stuff in that booster pack, I'm sure they'll have no problem adding the same for something that'll increase play time, FSP spent achieving those medals, and the game overall.

Medals are still in the centre of this matter. In a little, it won't be anymore. IDK how someone hadn't asked for 500 FSPs per medal yet.

They already do. They inform other players within FS what you are good at, if you are active, how long you have been playing. These are all bonuses. A player that has an array of medals and finds themself without a Guild is likely to get inundated with requests to join another. Big bonus, huge bonus, bonus bonus.

 

Medals, in my opinion, are not there to give bonuses but to show others within the game, if a player is active, what a player is good at and what areas of the game they have participated in. Nothing more.

I'll still on my 'no' idea. We have a LOT of medals already, and will need a lot of tweaks to finish an idea. And if it is implemented one day, i'm completelly out of stats bonus. 

Bp Spaces, AH Spaces, MP Lists, Bank Deposits, BP folders, Combat Lists, Combat Sets, Bio Space, Reserve Stamina, Bank Deposits, 1 Skill Reset, Free Bounty Tickets, PvP Prestige, Component Space, Loyalty Points,. We have a lot of things to work with, i'm completely against any boost on stats, 

But again, Achivements should give prizes, not Medals.

still no Gvg medal not to get too off topic but that would be a great help when someone advertises themselves as a gvg pro you can see they dont even have a bronze and such

Aye, I would agree mate, a GvG medal, in my opinion, would be a good addition. Many players dedicate their FS time to GvG so I think it would be sound that they were rewarded with a GvG medal for wins made.

 

 

But again, Achivements should give prizes, not Medals.

 

HCS could struggle with this though, what " Achievements " wouldn't already be medals?

I've been wondering the very same question - what these achievements will be that aren't already medals, unless they're things like :-

 

Killed 1000 vermin class creatures

Killed 1000 undead class creatures

Killed 1000 greenskin class creatures

 

Struggling to find something else that's not already covered by medals ..
