Just to correct you, there isn't double XP in effect. We've boosted XP for the early levels of the game in a bid to help new players enjoy the game more, get invested and hopefully play for longer. I'm sure everyone will appreciate we want to make an effort to increase player population.

 

 

 

The level 35 crimson guys give double what they did before:) At least they did yesterday.

starlight prowlers 39 changed also, was farming them for green drops while grinding then when i was two 2 levels higher the next day they were almost back up to full xp after the update, i think a few others over on nasaroth are giving nice xp now too ;)

It's possible a bug crept into the last build. Mobs that high level shouldn't be giving extra XP. It's possible Mojawk fixed it during that last update, do they still give more on the current build?

If you're getting booted into software it's suggesting your hardware might not be compatible with OpenGL 1.5, our minimum requirement for Eldevin at the moment. Either your hardware is too old, your drivers are outdated, or you are having a Windows issue which is defaulting your PC to the default implementation of OpenGL, usually version 1.1, although we've seen it happen to 1.4. 

 

Try updating your graphics drivers. If that doesn't work, check your OpenGL version by using this tool (http://www.topicscap...m/download3.php). It's completely free and safe to use, have done so myself. Report back the version it's running along with what graphics hardware you have so we can see if there are any issues.

It was the crimsons, also blossom ridge, and the hq and to3 that all gave that much last night. Killing alone one mob give 5k xp:) with rested and supporter.

plus gaining xp at early levels isnt the problem..you just increased the frustration when characters hit the grind levels instead of having it easy...doublexp doublexp..bam..normal xp and gotta grind for what feels like forever after all the easy. it would have taken 5 mins of testing to realize all levels now recieve double xp...but no it got added and went wrong anyhow.

yep my tank was lvl 39 when i started so perfect for the test and in one hour he made as others have said double the xp, he is a tank and on grinding mobs with his crappy dps made 37% of a lvl in one hour with rested, supporter and xp booster.

All of sudden I have this most annoying glitch!  In battle when the mob is down to 5% of it's life or lower my character just quits attacking and stands there!  Unless I can run out of a door or portal it just, stands there while I push mouse buttons and dies!

 

Needless to say this seriously pisses me off!

Now it just randomly stops attacking whenever I kill one enemy, and another one is there!  The second enemy just bashes hell out of me, and it will not attack!

I feel peeps need to be slightly reimbursed at this point in time. I can't play the game the way I pay to play it...can now not access 3 of my characters because no matter what I do they wont load up in the game due to being in eldevin city.

Well the crazy thing just got to be unplayable!  So I ran a C cleaner scan, and found nine, (Count 'em!  Nine!)  pages of registry errors!  I dumped them, and ran a full Ad Aware scan and found a page or so of sneaky things which had been hiding in a toolbar I no longer used.  After dumping those and sending Spy Bot in for a snoop around, I opened the game, and it works just so WONDERFUL!  So fine!  It is all that  a side of fries, and pie!

 

So if you are having trouble, download Ad Aware, C cleaner, and Spy Bot.  Run all three!  Bet you find something!  I did!

 

That said, Oh Great Hoofmaster, whip not the monkeys!  It was not their fault!  (This time!)

If you've got the downloadable client and having problems please provide us with the info in the log.txt in the install directory (e.g. usually c:\program files\eldevin for windows at least) it may provide something useful on why it kicked back to software. Also if possible your platform/gfx card as more information is really helpful so we can try to fix the remaining issues.

 

We'll be working on a host of issues to try and get hardware working for everyone who's failing so far, and some dev's may contact some people to try out some test builds to see why its not working for them, I suspect its a few minor issues and probably some funky settings we're not aware of, some random bits have been fixed and may fix some peoples problems in the next build on Monday already.

 

It is annoying though as its the same code, but different machine's are acting strangely, you should see the mac display atm :)
