Now that we are soon to have both WASD and an extremely flexible camera, it seems like it would be possible to play in 1st person. Since I am a fan of the maps and the style of the game, i though it would just be incredibly cool to choose to play in 1st person from time to time.

 

What do you guys think? Wouldn't it be really cool and original for an MMO allowing you to run around maps from a different perspective? Maybe I'm just being a nerd...

 

Gathering tends to get pretty boring sometimes, but this would be pretty cool to have while you are running around looking for shrubbery.

Doubt first person will ever exist, too much load for the graphic designers.. Also whats the point of having a first person view? Seems pretty pointless, It limits your awareness alot.

While not first person, HCS is working on more camera angles. If your system can handle it you'll have ground view.  No date on when we'll see this, I'm guessing it's dependent on GPU support.

Would be great to see a first person view in this game. (Although it should be entirely optional to the player if they want to use it or not)
