I class myself as helpful and friendly as are many other older players who I would trust and have trusted with mats in the past without even questioning them.

 

Now with the increased population I've not once before heard these words before "Don't scam me". This happened to me last night after someone pm'ed me asking for help, they didn't even just say it once they kept saying it over and over once I got there. This just made me feel belittled as I would never scam nor have any intention too so I think it's time to implement a assist system of some sort.

 

Now with name changes becoming common practice anyone could say "Ye I'm lvl <insert lvl here>" then simply logout with the mats and get HCS to change their name.

 

It won't be long until scamming infests eldevin, I'm just thinking ahead.

With the increasing steam population, scamming is becoming way more common than it should. However, as more good apples grow, more rotten ones fall off the tree. I support this idea, but what if a person needs assistance with killing mobs or something? will you be automatically teleported to them? will they have to approve your assist request? etc.

I was thinking mainly just about professions (crafting helms, weapons etc) but I'm open to any other suggestions to combat scamming of any sort.

 

The person in question still had to trade me 40 rems and 10 flakes, even though he continually said "don't scam me" If a person was gonna scam all they have to say I won't scam and then logout once the trade completes.

 

I don't know what HCS are capable of coding so haven't thought too much how it would work though. I just know something needs to be done before scamming happens on a daily basis.

I would have thought an extension to the trade screen---whereby A gives materials and B gives crafting skills to make a specified item (active when in the appropriate location) and some gold/EP might get included---would be a good way to deal with this.

Played other mmo with sys work out farly well when assiting some one alow them have same crafting lvl as you. Unable gain any EXP from using this sys.

 

alow them crafted item needed as longas still near as need be near crafting stattion during pross of crafting for them use you skill's.

 

Good way lessen scaming of potional item's, Any trade basic is consdering constent of word's all can do is take screen shot's of trade if trully don't trusted them. MMO best ask around for some one who known to be trust worthly Less likly scame you of your item's.

 

Change of FP to trade help limited trusted trade gem scaming.

 

Potional other issue, not many seen Get to DGN boss room party leader kick every on in group so can take item for them self.

 

Possible mean's bye do so small player base - Needing item's that can use but are only do so for potional profit when some in group could use item.
