I didn't mean to sound like a downer, i just like to test first.
But I do appreciate you pointing us to it and giving us the opportunity to look at it
cheers,

maybe you could post in the Mod Summon thread in Off-topic section to ask a moderator to add this to the "Useful info / tools" sticky thread in General section.

First type about:config to your address bar and promise to be careful.
Then add 2 new values by right clicking anywhere on that list and choose new->boolean. Preference names are: extensions.checkCompatibility and extensions.checkUpdateSecurity. Set both of them to false.
After you restart your browser you should be able to install and run any extension, but those checks are there for a reason. Even that Linkification seems to work ok not all extensions work well and some may even mess up your browser badly. So be careful, and don't say I didn't warn you.

Another tip, if you do this and then install incompatible extensions that won't let you start it up properly, you can start Firefox in Safe Mode, which disables all extensions, then you can uninstall the bad one(s).After you restart your browser you should be able to install and run any extension, but those checks are there for a reason. Even that Linkification seems to work ok not all extensions work well and some may even mess up your browser badly. So be careful, and don't say I didn't warn you.
A normal Firefox installation usually includes a shortcut to Safe Mode in the Programs menu, but just in case you don't have one...
Create a new shortcut.
For target, put:
"C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -safe-mode(or wherever your Firefox is, and put the -safe-mode at the end)
For Start in, put:
"C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox"
hmm or I suppose you can copy your current shortcut and add the -safe-mode lol...
