Btw for people who are interested, I found out how Master Inventor works:

 

M.I. Bonus Chance = 10% x Recipe's Success Chance x Master Inventor Skill Level

 

In the case of the epic cow recipes (all of them have 70% base success chance), you can get as much 7% bonus to your inventing with 100% Master Inventor.

 

Although it was a hassle to test this on a +50% Master Inventor because of the guild structure, I ran tests on 2 recipes (Tri Eye Ring and another item with 80% success chance) and so far the numbers match. I used this table as basis but I'm not sure if this is reliable though:

 

Level                        Percentage

Extremely High      92.5% to 100%

Very High                85% to 92.5%

High                         70% to 85%

Above Average       60% to 70%

Average                   50% to 60%

Below Average       35% to 50%

Low                          20% to 35%

Very Low                 2.5% to 20%

Extremely Low       0% to 2.5%

If he does, I'll be bloody amazed - he's never given that info out (or any clues), previously.

Hope he responds. You can test it as well, but it would be easier without the guild structure.

No problem. I have faith in whoever created these success rates and more than likely they have thoroughly tested them before adding them to the wiki (Belgrave and co.).

if you check the guide it gives you the exact success invent percentage ie inferno activator is listed as 40% and on the recipe as below average chance of success

Hmm. Shouldn't be doing that. It ought to say the same thing as the recipe. Will have to get the guys to fix that.

Agreed - not sure why, tbh, it was never declared thus, rather than Good / Excellent etc etc

I remembering hcs saying many times that they will not giving information about percentege of how exact working of enhancements, buffs (resource finder, and others), inventing percentege chances and others

they saying players needing finding ths out

Sorry (not sorry) but invention 1 and 2 don't promise they are a win button. They get REALLY close to one though. If it happens that you lose things, bummer. I've had only one thing saved when I did a bulk invention with inventor 575 with RP and blank shields a couple years back when they were worth a LOT more, and it was an epic weapon and not a blank or RP btw.....sometimes that stuff happens. If your goal isn't to get the items you are inventing and basically get a free item back, you really don't understand the point of it.

 

Furthermore, failed inventions happen. Isn't that the point of quests that have invention in them, to teach you that you CAN fail an invention? Kind of like real life, huh? (My uncle applied for dozens, possibly even a hundred of patents of mechanical devices and tools, only got 2, lol). 

 

I think we need more LE gear going forward to be resource based and not farmable @ HCS to make this a bit more clear, make the game harder, and not everybody having perfect craft of the best new gear as soon as it comes out. The nice thing about Zogrom/Shroud gear is this concept for the most part. You actually have to make it and not just spam farm it with a huge BP/AH/max stam.

i can understand not letting the lvl 500+ inv 2 work (as well as the milk not being savable) i know with the inv 2 buff  its just a small chance at saving the item and there is not many in the game as is

I think BG has stated it's not going to change - but I agree, Inv II "SHOULD" work - but capped at L175 - and ONLY have a chance of saving the "hard to get" crystalline components.

 

No save chance for the milk(s), No save chance for the extracted components, just a chance (small as it is) to save the crystalline item.

 

Failing that, allow more to enter the game (1 / 2 per day) via praying to the gods ...
