i just hit lvl 30 in prospecting witch raises the dark question in the room

 

is lvl 30 going to be the lvl cap on all professions or is there plans to extend this

 

if i could get a answer from the hunted cow staff that would be great

Considering that you have to be character level 50 to use the items created with level 30 recipes I'd say that level 30 is probably the max profession level unless/until the level cap gets increased.

I believe we're planning on allowing you to get beyond 30 on the release of the level 50 content as it will be the first time the players can earn reputation with the Crafters Guild.

Speaking of crafting professions...

I Prospect with a Miner's Best Friend (Pick Axe)

I chop trees with a Bronze Hatchet (Hand Axe)

 

Neither are the items I was given to learn either craft

 

However,

I am stuck using the Skinning Knife from the start to Skin. Why can I not use any knife, like the other 2 professions can?
