Due to a question from someone, I started to look up the progression from human to Shadow Shade.

I am blatantly thieving from various sources, namely the Venerable, but difficult to use Gothaguide, and Craces' class list.


BEFORE doing any other quests, this should be done, as you must be Human to do it.

First, go to Vasirian Trader Frozen North (56,7) and buy a humanic ring for 5 pp

Full Quest

Traveller, I am the Ethereal Shaman, most powerful shaman in all of the Frozen North. However I have tried to purchase a sacred ring required for my incantation, however due to its sacraficial nature, they seem to have hidden it from me. Find me the 'Humanic Ring' and I shall reward you greatly."

Give Ring

You hand over the ring to the shaman. He thanks you for your assistance and hands you 1 x 'Ethereal Rune'.

You gain 10,000xp.

- Able to get Shadow only drops from Plane Shadow

- Can heal and seek sanctuary at Shadow Stones.


Turning shadow : Quest - Mystic Shadow

Kill Shadow Stealers (in Gothador), you must be a Human to get the drops. Collect 3 Shadow Stone Fragments:

Shadow Stone Fragment B
Shadow Stone Fragment C

Take these to 5,2 Shadow Region (entrance 80,82 Gothador).
Hand over Fragments.
You will then become a shadow.

Full Quest Evolve from a Shadow Apprentice to a Shadow.

hunt Lesser Shadows in the Labrinth of Na'Gath level 7 for Small Shadow Stones (you need 20)
hunt Lost Shadows in Frozen North for Medium Shadow Stones (you need 10) - beware the First Strike of Vikings, maybe others too...
hunt Braskin Shadows in Braskin Plains for Large Shadow Stones (you need 5)
hunt Void Shadows in the Etherial Void for a Grand Shadow Stone - they are Assassins, but fortunately you need only 1
go to a forge, and make yourself a Shadow Chamber Key
enter the Shadow Chamber from 5,4 Shadow Region (from 80,82 Gothador) and walk 17 squares straight east to the Quest square

The shadow trainer hands you a 'Shadow Mist' scroll and prompts you to read it. You also gain 10,000xp.

N.B. All creature-drops can only be obtained by a Shadow Apprentice!

The master trainer infused is with your soul and you power surge through your body. You have become a Shadow Master!

You approach a large stone monument. Algae covers the smooth onyx colored surface of the monument along with an ancient inscription which glows with a grey hue. 'Those worthy may advance'.

[Touch Monument]

You learn forward and touch the smooth cold surface of the monument. To your surprise the surface is warm. It comes alive, seams of light cascade to the tip of the monument before erupting in a flash of white light. Your mind is overwhelmed with darkness. The Contorted Overlord speaks to you... 'Collect 5 Shadow Fragments from the fallen then return here to be judged.'

Hunt Death Shadows in KoU for the 5 Shadow Fragments, then return to (9,39).

You have done well...' You are blinded by a flash of white light. The next moment you find yourself standing within a small cave.

You step into the circle. Pillars of light rise from around you. A deep, resonating voice calls out. 'Are you certain you wish to become a Shadow Shade?'

[Yes]

You are surrounded by a column of white light. Suddenly you find yourself back in the Kingdom of Ulth'ran. You feel reinvigorated. You have become a Shadow Shade.

You gain 10,000,000 XP, 'Shadow Shade Boots'.
