Aside that, I feel HCS has managed it to keep this game going for 8 years!!! and it seems to still be making revenue aswell. Which is a feat for such a considerably small Development Studio. Theres alot of other Browser based games by major Game Studios that have not even slightly fared as well as this game has.

BUT a game is only as strong as their player base and its a fact that it has been declining for years.

Thats why I personally think that censorship and listening to their players cannot go hand in hand properly. Censorship always distorts the view and the information may be warped in such an aspect that its the exact opposite of what the speakers/writers intention was.

 

I daresay: "Let us speak hard truths! Let free speech reign! Lets make this forums a better place, free from fear from sanctions for speaking your own opinion! Lets be humans!"

OK so far after much much QQing about rewards and crazy ideas this seems the essence:

 

EOC Lvlers that went total ham on this test season:

 

- Refunds for wasted stamina/buffs/fsps

  ----> Next thing you know you want a refund for your time spent playing fallensword. You used your stamina/buffs/fsps at  your own expenses, its your fault if you think PvPing has to have an equal amount of Rewards to it for the effort put in. All  you had to do was use 1k stamina and be done with it, but no, some of you spent 50k+ stamina, well I have daresay no one  gonna give you a reward for wasting stamina. In a TEST SEASON.

- Crazy high lvling buffs that dont even have much to do with PvPing

   ----> This is a PVP Season, while few may argue its more a stam sink than a PvP tourney, rewards for LvLing are not even slightly justifieable here

- Stam Rewards/Upgrade Rewards

  ----> This idea again is so far from reality, I ought to ask the people what they were smoking throwing in that suggestion.

- Reserve Stam

  ----> This is ridicioulus, there wasnt no downtime to justify this and everyone knew what he was doing with his stamina.

- Less Stamina used in PvP

  ----> This is so ridicioulus, you already have no xp loss, now you demand EVEN LESS Stamina used?! Its your own fault      wanting to be top, and using up so much stamina in, and I really cant believe I have to repeat myself, "a test season".

could we get a pot that has undermine in it? Or maybe a pot that has last ditch AND force shield at a high lvl? that would be welcome for gvging aswell as for pvping

 

 

Edit: after reading moonfrosts post I agree, we shouldnt be rewarded at all. People here are all bout weightening out their fsp, gold, buffs and stamina spent, like its some sort of thing they HAD to spend to be eligible for the 20 attack reward. This was a test. You dont go around, learning for a 10 min test in class 20 hours, write an A+ and then demand that this class test is to be worth as much as a year worth of exams and classwork. Yes you put effort in it. But that was selflessly. Now pad on your shoulder and be done with it.

Ok let me elaborate:

 

The step you now took is actually a step back to the 2008 ladder. This will not solve ANY of the problems on the ladder. You actually created new ones.

What you created:

- Few PvPers fighting each other farming the soon to come rewards

- Truces, Alliances and Non-Agression pacts will be formed just like it used to be on the 2 ladder versions before

- High lvls dominating the ladder, farming lower levels

- No reflection to the actual PvP. Im a PvPer and I refuse to partake in such a farce. Alot PvPers will make the same decision and not partake, making this an even less active ladder than the last system.

- No reflection on PvP skill and setups, here just wins the guy with the highest lvl.

 

+New way to get even richer for the Higher lvls depending if the rewards will be useful

+More Stamina will be used overall for PvPing

+A small Money sink

Whats the point now with seasons anyway?

You just made a pvp ladder of the 08 days, with a fancy new name and a bit splitted facade. But in the end its the same ladder as it was in the 08 days when the high lvls dominated it through truces and paying to be top. GREAT JOB.

For everyone asking for refunds, using quitting as a threat, etc - get real lol

why have so much gear for pvp in lower levels if the point is to reach eoc and then smash lower levels?

 

Dom, it cant be helped, we tried saving them, but just like Jon Snow, we have to "kill the boy" and let the man be born. I will watch this closely and stay silent from now on. It apparently cant be helped as their schedule is set. they put too much effort in already to make a 180° backpadel. Were only a small portion and where the axe hits theres always gonna be cuttings.

Im with Dom on this. I lvled for only one reason alone to lvl 175, it has the perfect set that fits my need for Thieving gold, enough bewildered targets + enough stuff to do without needing to get bigger and bigger.  Even the setups are really fun that there are at that lvl.

 

I wouldnt mind attacking lvl 300 or 500 players, damn even lvl 800 players can be cracked with a bit of luck and proper buffs on my part. Provided they are not buffed up ofc.  But a 1500 lvl fully geared player... that... that my friends is downright beyond balanced PvP, and if you guys at HCS truly want to balance PvP, then please listen to ACTUAL PvPers

as ive said before wind...im not arguing for myself...ive spanked eoc before and will again...but how many players my level can actually do that?

 

Not only that, but imagine how little effort the EOC players will have to put in in comparison to a lvl 100 or a 200 player. This is just so unbelievable...

 

I might aswell demand my acc to be terminated.

Ive been here since 2007... Ive been GvGing and PvPing 90% of my playtime, stealing millions of gold. Ive even made it to an art on 10 stam players in attempt to thiev thousands of gold coins.

 

Now you take that joy away from me? This is the last time I actually supported this studio. Sorry, but with such actions towards players that dont even play a certain aspect of the game. Its like handing them a 2 handed valyrians  sword  and us a butterfly net and call it fair. First you break GvG its neck, now you break PvP by disabling the lvl barrier on the ladder. Good old 2007 times again eh? When guild teamed up and paid each other to stay top on the ladder. 

 

 

if you make this life, delete the normal attack barrier so I can 100 Stam Zorg every day of the hour. Seriously, this made me more mad than when I got screwed over by bying an overpriced car from a "friend".

What you have to provide yourself:
- LvL 165-180
- Common Sense and Basic understanding of GvG.
- Being Resourceful and self-sufficient, being able to get your own buffs for GvG

- Being able to follow the CoC
- Proper English
- Activity
- Stamina over 1k
- Own GvG-Gear, though if proven ressourceful enough, the Nights watch will provide with a set of untagged GvG Gear for your level.
 
What we offer you:
- Be part of the Nights Watch, GvG in its honor and bask in its greatness.
- GoT rank System and GoT Nights Watch Hierarchy
- Payout 4 Fsp per 25 hits that lead to winning the Conflict, 8 Fsp for Solo Countering (Counter Win) and 2 Fsp for Counter-Drawing. Ofc your are paid right after the GvG is won.
-Payment ofc is optional, if you just want to GvG in the name of honor, feel free to do so.
- Newly found "Homely Home" Haven to the last true GvGers at our lvl range. (We dont cope with LvL-Queens here!)
- We believe in the brotherhood of the watch, meaning the stonger the player is upgraded the better he can perform in GvG
- Personalized counsel and guidance in GvG matters

- LvL gear
