In a crystal clear memory, I recall the last thing I did as a mortal on this earth. The execution , the spear, the blood rushing from the wound, the absolute horror of what I had done. I must have ran through this memory millions of times, yet it never fades, never takes its place in obscurity. The horror I felt lasted three long days, then the true nightmare began. I can see the face, looking at me in pity and forgiveness, saying "You have done the world a service, and this is your reward; Through faith will you now live..."
The next decade is a blur of pain and torment; I underwent a transformation so terrible as cannot be imagined. Throughout two millenia, I have been wandering, searching for what I am, alive, but not living. Here, today, I stand a changed being, immortal, powerful, and full of only one thought: Revenge!

Funny how things work out sometimes. The past thousand years I have been driven by finding the one who turned me into this hideous thing, and now, well.....
Three days ago I awoke to find myself feeling strange. Looking around, I see myself in unfamiliar surroundings, a place full of creatures I could only imagine. One of them glared at me menacingly, and I went berzerk, flailing around helplessly, but the strength I had grown accustomed to over the past millenia had fled! Desperately I called out for a sword, armour, a shield, hoping to cover my naked and emaciated form with some semblance of strength. After hours of nearly doing myself and all around me, I fell into an exhausted sleep.
Someone must of heard my cry, for I awoke to a rustling sound, and a shimmering energy in the air. Leaping up, I saw a demon ginning horribly and dissappear in a flash. As he left, I noticed that the ground that made my sleeping pallet now held armaments, of a make and manufacture that I had never before seen. Forgetting all else as the sounds of night became louder, I donned the plate, seized the sword and the sheild, and looked for a helm, but non was to be found, only a few rings and amulets, which I put on hoping to trade for better equipment, once I finally met another human in this interesting place.
This time, as I explored my new home, when something snarled, I bit back. Emboldend by my new weapons, I killed all creatures in my path, feeling stronger with every blow. The rings andamulets glowed and went alternately cold and hot against my skin at each encounter, and I knew that these were no ordinary trinkets, but objects of power. Finally wearing myself out, I found a likely spot and laid down yet again, vowing to find someoneto help me find my way back to my own world, or to find a way to havemy revenge in this one.

For several days I have wandered this strange new place, killing the inhabitants, regaining my strength, getting my bearings. I have seen many other men and women, but they are all mute, deaf, dumb and unresponsive. I feel more alienated with each passing contact with these living statues. I have had one contact with another living breathing thing since my arrival, while I slept, the treasures I had gathered from those I have killed were stolen from me by a woman who left me her name, presumably to add to my list of those to seek out and wreak vengeance upon, RoseFury.
The only conclusion I can come to boils down to this: I need to find those who can help me regain my strength, and then I shall have my revenge…

There are many different types of people in this new world. The past few days I have been seeing many people, many of them injured, walking past me. Some look demonic, some angelic, some brutish and ugly. Nearly all of them make this part of the world seems dangerous. Every one I have seen carries a weapon, armour or shield, and a good thing they do.
Just today, as I was continuing my search, I was accosted by a formidable beast. Not fully accustomed to the arsenal I have amassed, I was overmatched greatly. The moment I struck it with my sword, it retaliated, and very nearly slew me. It may have, though I am not certain. The end result was that I found myself coming to in a hospital, full of other wounded and dying. The doctors there are miracle workers of a sort. Of all the things I have seen so far, the way they work repairing bodies that on earth would have relinquished their hold on life, all fascinating. They told me that the beast I had so unwisely tried to slay was a masadon, and that I was nowhere near strong enough to survive through an encounter with one.
I continue with my search in the evening, when I hope to meet with a different set of people, ones that speak and are acquainted with this realm.

The most extraordinary thing has happened. I have found my way around this corner of the realm, the past week wandering to and from location to location, and made several acquaintences that have helped point me in the right direction. The past week I have been growing ever so much stronger, and only last night I have had a vision of my revenge.
I was feeling weary, for I had come up against several undead monsters, of a menial and beastly type, one of which was far stronger than any I have seen up until now. I found an old building with a banking guild symblo in it, found a nook off to the side and took my rest there. No sooner had my head laid down to the earth and an angel and a demon appeared side by side. As one they intoned instructions, incantations, offersm bargains, and then gave me a glimpse of the future. There I was, strong, radiating a power never before even imagined on Earth, cutting through enemies with a stange and glorious weapon. My armour was covered by a cloak black as night, trimmed with silver and gold, my face was black as the tomb of Christ, my neck heavy with unholy charms. On my fingers were rings of all types, emanating light and darkness.
I cried, "What must I do?" and the reply came...
"Your mortal body must wither and die, and you must be born again to a higher cakking. You will become the scourge of angels, the executioner of demons, the final judge of the gods themselves. You will walk in light and dark alike, and fear niether, but draw strength from both."
"Take this flask, and daily pour your life into it, from the veins in your heart. One third of a year of your life is required, 136 days of your energy, strength and will. Do this, and we shall bestow upon you the power which you seek. Do this not, and remain as you are, weak, pitiful, and always knowing that you had your revenge in your grasp, yet were to weak to embrace it."
After this I fell into a deep sleep, and woke as the dawn broke. The earth felt strange beneath me, and I saw the new turned earth where I had slept. Digging it up, glancing around for fear of anyone noticing, I found the flask from my vision, and a great chest of wondrous items. Dragging them to a secluded spot, I went through them, and laughed at the sight of
my vengeance' realization.

These short records have been all that have kept me sane since I came to this place. The absolute desolation I am surrounded by now is the worst I have felt in several hundred years. There is a never ending field of azure on all sides, not a soul in sight, only this small insignificant creature who has given me a key of some sort. As soon as he handed me the key, I felt a bit lighter, as though my pack was missing something, or my strength was returning, odd, because I feel as though time has slowed, and I am immeasurably weaker in this place. I am nearing my destination, the power I seek, but all the items I have collected so far seem tarnished, dull and ordinary in this light. I desperately need to find my way out, but my energy is all but gone. Maybe in a few hours I will write some more, but my pen has gone leaden, and my eyes refuse to see any longer.

I have made my way out of the blue wasteland, only to find my self stronger than ever. Still the compulsion to go here, do this, do that, kill these creatures remains. I am beginning to think that the Angel and Demon that I spoke of earlier did something to my mind. I have become much more like I was before I came to this place, drawing energy from some source of unlife, able to take others life force into my body and utilize it for my own needs. With the return of my strength I have more and more confidence that I will be soon able to avenge my millenia of suffering and finally be at true rest.

It was a long sleep, after the journey through the azure landscape. Sleep, though renewing, seems different somehow. I brush dirt and leaves off my clothing, wipe rust away from my sword and shield. Years seem to have passed since I closed my eyes.
I realize that the sleep of the dead is more than just sleep. Never again shall I sleep so long, I vow. Never again let the years pass me by while I lay in oblivious slumber.
My strength returned, I venture once more into the night to find the answers I have been seeking.
