There is the protect gold enhancement and many a time it has made me fume for days.... BTW what;s your Master Thief enhancement?  That's as important as thievery if not more....  Basically Egami asked a good question, Enhancements are much overlooked as a defensive measure....

For gold hits I'd say Thievery is prioritized but MT shouldn't fall behind. Checked my set, I got both 100%. I'm thinking I just hit the rock bottom of RNG in stealing %.

Unfortunately I'd say this falls into the normal range. My experience has been gold loss from 10%-50% with most hits landing in the 20%-30% range, unless you get the super ultra rare master thief. I build sets to maximize thievery and master thief enhancements plus I always use gloat but those are still typical numbers for me. Very disappointing to get such a low amount from what's available but it's still just over 20% of the gold on hand. With all the ways to protect gold I've asked for higher thievery and master thief percentages but the non-pvp'ers act like the sky is falling so the cows have ignored my requests. Doubt that will ever change so all I can say is keep plugging along and do everything you can on your end to get the most out of every hit.

Agreed. Yeah, like in PvP seasons wherein 50% or more players unreasonably whined.

Buffs? Enhancements? Talk to your guild about structures. 

Can't say about buffs, was thinking of Protection but wasn't really that way(idk). I always make sure to have 100% Thievery and Gloat. Maybe its just a bad day for gold hitters.
