I sort of, well strongly actually, hate it when I sort of sort my backpack via a sort of misclick.  It is sort of aggravating and sort of drives me insane!  Would it be sort of difficult if you could sort of make a confirmation pop-up of sorts to prevent this sort of travesty?

Or flat out remove it, I've seen it in so many games and have never once intended to click it...always happens though, because the evil thing is always right next to the close inventory button.

 

An option to disable it would be nice too though, I'm sure there are some people out there who actually intend to click it when it happens....there has to be at least one of them, right?

Perhaps not flat out remove them. There are some people like me that would use these buttons still.

 

I think there could be a better placement for them though like J_Quan said for sure.

agrees with pop up confirm or disable button but please no to removal. I actually like to use it. thanks .  suppose someone can put up a poll and see what the wee community thinks but having options is better then removal with no options ^^.

Good luck this time!  Not sure why HCS keeps putting this off, difficult to believe a confirmation is that complex.  People have been suggesting something be done since I joined beta well over a year ago.

 

I understand that some people use it and so it must remain.  But I've learned to fear that button.  So come on, HCS, a confirmation?  Move the button?  Or if nothing else, at least make the buttons larger.

Seriously, remove this crap please, or at least give us a way to flat out disable it for those of us who NEVER want to use it.

 

Nothing but annoying.

 

I'd personally rate this as far more important than their graphic updates or class balancing.

I suggested in another thread about this damn button that they just make it a menu like other simple menus

the menu options could be 

Sort

Cancel

 

then later they could add

Sort Ascending

Sort Descending

Sacks at top

Sacks at bottom

 

but did they listen...

 

from a programming pov it would be really easy to do.

I've discussed this with Cygnus and our preferred idea at the moment is to move the Sort & Stack buttons out of the window header entirely - put them in the main window and make them nice and clear and large so they won't be clicked on by accident at all.

 

We might not get it done by the Steam release but we will work on a fix for this soon after (we are really, really, REALLY busy right now!) as we know how often it's come up recently. We'll talk it over more on Monday!
