Hi all,

I would like to present to you the online tool that I finally manage to port from C# desktop application to web application that requires no installation.

Fallen Sword Set Editor (FSSE) is a free online tool for building in-game gear setups. Always wanted to check all possible layouts but didn't have in-game money to buy all variants? Not anymore.
Have 7 pieces of equipment and would like to find 2 piece set that would fit in your setup? That is now really easy.

Little about the history of the tool.

The first version of the tool was written in C# as a desktop application way back in 2012. Screenshots of application available here. But sharing executable file is not secure and people other than your friends who trust you will typically decline accepting it, so idea to convert it to a web application is born. But life happens and we all get carried away with other stuff in our life and so this idea was put aside for some time.

And here we are, 7 years later, the idea was brought to the table again and realized.

As a software developer in real life that believes in Open Source Software (OSS), FSSE is OSS tool, meaning, source code is available on GitHub:

I strongly encourage all who know and want to contribute to this tool in improving it.

Here are some screenshots of the FSSE:

Thanks and enjoy,
Bizz

Hey thank you so very much for creating this as a browser app for us to use! I really like it and it will be very helpful with coming up with PvP sets. The search in auction house feature is sweet!

In Mozilla FF I did notice that there are some images missing on some of the sets I was using. But that was due to my browser (firefox) and perhaps some of the addons I use.

Works wonderfully in Chrome :)

Thank you thank you!

Awesome thank you for sharing :)

Set finder is really good.

Just wondering if there's a quick way to clear item/sets and start building a new set?

Thanks

Thank you all for feedback :)

PLEASE NOTE: There is an issue with the application when viewed on mobile phones where search results for any browser are not displayed which makes application pretty much useless on mobile phones. I'm aware of that issue and will try to fix it as soon as possible. Until then, please use it only on the desktop.

Thank you @sohail94, numerous of people ask for the same feature, resetting the whole setup, and will add that feature.

Thanks for the feedback and improvement proposal :)

Did you try it on a desktop browser or mobile browser? There is an ongoing issue mentioned above and application is currently pretty much not usable on mobile phones.
I also will look to record short video which will demonstrate how to use the application at some point.

Thanks,
Bizz

Thanks for the feedback :) Can you please elaborate more on what 2 search bars you are referring to?

There are 3 options in the menu bar on the left side:
  • Set Finder - This search option is dedicated to finding all sets that met particular requirements. For example: If you want to find a set that is composed of Amulet and Boots you will use this search option. Also, you can search per stats, for example, all sets that have Attack Armor stats only. Also, you can combine parts and stats filtering.
  • Set Browser - This search option is dedicated to a simple set searching with standard filtering by level and sorting by particular stat.
  • Item Browser - This search option is dedicated to simple item searching with standard filtering.

Did you mean some other search alongside those available?

Thanks,
Bizz

It does look good, but one thing (unless I'm totally missing it) on the set finder, can you add a filter for the rarity of the set, or possibly a selection? LE, or LE and SE or Unique and Rare for example within the range or other parameters?

The new version of the tool has been published.

New features:

  • Added option to reset currently working setup for a clean start
  • Added new filter option on Set Finder to filter sets per item rarity in set

Thanks,

Bizz

Are you updating the items and sets manually?

I have a scraper set up here

It's fairly primitive right now but it does present a REST API

No, that would be madness :)

As far as I can tell, it's not, thus it was removed from our Resources page. There is another Set calculator on there that is still functioning.
