I know that should not implemented until HCS fix a lot of things in the game, there more important things to be done, but that i just an idea.

My idea is to make possible to visit others guilds, without losing the GXP you've acquired on your guild, I believe that can make the game a lot more fun making new friends.

The guild can allow a member to visit others guilds, with the 'Visitor' rank, that rank will have some restrictions:

Titans:
The player out visiting another guild will not be allowed to hit any Titan, but once he comes back to the old guild he will not receive the 7 days cooldown.

Composed Pots:
The visitors will not be able to Tag Composed Pots while he is visiting another guild.

PvP:
The player will not be allowed to hit members from his main guild, not even players from the guild which is receiving him.

GvG:
If the player is already involved on a Conflict on his guild he will not be able to visit another guild until the Conflict is over, and will not be able to hit or be hitten on the guild he is visiting.

GXP:
The player will not lose his GXP on the main guild, and if he do a hunt on his visiting guild the guild will not receive any GXP for it. The GXP received for XP Gain will not be acquired for any of the guilds.

Medals:
The player will not lose the Guild Loyalty Medal, and will receive ticks for the time he is away, for all means he will still a member of his main guild.
He will nto receive any % tick by buffing members from the guild he is visiting, gold deposits or groups joined.

Guild Chat:
The player will see the Guild Chat he is visiting, maybe create a new tab to be able to see both Guild Chats, idk.

Permissions:
The visiting player will not be able to receive all the permission of a normal guild rank, the only permissions possible are Store Items, Take Items, Can Tag Items, Can Recall Tagged Items and Can Craft Guild Tagged Items. All those permissions will need to be authorized on the Guild Preferences page, for the rank 'Visitor'.

New Guild Structure:
Visitors Center (or other name):
Level 1: Will add items to Guild Preferences page and will be able to receive 1 visitor at the time.
Level 2: 2 Visitors.
Level 3: 3 Visitors.
Level 4: 4 Visitors.
Level 5: 5 Visitors.

About the time:
The Visitors can choose to leave at anytime, but the maximun time allowed will be 1 week.

About Guild Space for visitors:
The visitor will not count as a member, so the guild will receive one more slot for each level on the Structure (for visitors only).

New Medal:
(Don't know if that's a good idea)
To visit X Guilds.
Bronze 1, Silver 3, Gold 5, Crystal 10, Ruby 20, Diamond 40. (?)

About how to do it:
To leave your main guild you will need the permission of a Guild Leader.
To receive a Visitor the request will need to be approved by a Guild Leader too.

The main reason to visit another Guild is just to chat, make friends and things like that.

Am I missing something? What you all think?

Sounds like a way to sell composed potions without losing guild xp.

Global Chat and/or Skype can be used for this.

Oops, really, I'll add it to the first post. Not possible to tag Composed Pots to the guild you're visiting.

And yeah, Global Chat can be used, but without the interaction to be inside of a guild.

Might want to also add "not able to *use* guild tagged composted pots" as well, otherwise instead of players travelling to sell potions, guilds could advertise "for a fee, visit us and power level with our nice composed potions".

Same with group use. Players/guilds could charge fees to merc themselves to a guild, or for the guild to be mercs for others.

They could also charge to rent out guild gear to visitors, therefore making gear even less needed as even more share the items.

If there's a way to sell something in this game, people will do it.

I see your point, and I believe that could be truth...I'm just trying to find a way to make this possible, for sure I would like to give a visit to some guilds that have a lot of friends, but I'll never do it while I'll be losting the GXP I have on my guild.

Personally, I'm not in favour of allowing guild travelling without the hosting guild losing the accrued GXP.

To me, that will cause a LOT of problems with guilds trying (successfully or otherwise) to "buy" players to come to them for their hunt and then move again

And, is thus, subject to MASSIVE abuse in the guild rankings, if nothing else.

Actually, Cyrus, these don't do the same thing at all. Global chat scans through very quickly and is lost - guild chats retain a log that let you pick up the conversation despite long breaks (due, for example, to being in different time zones). Guild chat is also done with a limited number of people, and so lets less extraverted people develop friends more easily.

Skype, or course, does not preserve RL anonymity, and has to be done while simultaneously online

I'd suggested the same thing in the forums some time ago, and still think it is a good idea. I also agree that the main thing is the access to guild chat, and the opportunities that opens up. I'm not even sure that access to the guild store is essential, but the ability to see/hear another guild at work without feeling one is letting down one's long-term guild mates would (I think) have a very positive influence on the game.

You guys don't keep a separate account for "people I don't know outside of the internet"?

Skype does have offline messaging, as well as the ability to group people into a chat together. So even if you go offline, when you come back online, you receive messages that were sent to you or a group you were in.

No, I don't - and for reasons that make it unlikely I will ever start doing so.

So I accept that skype does have better functionality for this than I suggested, but you still can only use it with people who know you well enough to reveal a skype ID, so it is not an easy way to create new friends.

Also, it is arguable that everytime players go off-game to get functionality they want in order to play the game, they are really pointing out a deficiency in the game.

Finally, I reckon we'd end up with a lot less guff in the forums about favoured guilds being allowed to get away with things if more players had the chance to spend a week in their chatroom seeing what really went on - and that would be very good for the game.

I see your point cyrus, but no one can tell that is the same thing, I don't propose it to chat with people I already know, but for know more people, chat with all guild and see a guild deal with the game, not like a spy, but as a friend.

I can see how those things can be exploit, but I would love to see a way to make it possible.

I suppose a NEW STRUCTURE introduced to the game would suffice for this idea ....  Once built, The guild founder then could create a password for outsiders to use to access the structure to "visit " the guild. Basically you would only be able to guild chat  and maybe view items but not use anything, which ever the founder prefers. The founder could change /edit the settings on the structure such as the password as well as be able to block anyone they wanted to block from visiting. I guess the biggest use for this could be as a recruitment tool.

Although I personally dont see this as necessary, I guess some might like this idea. Good luck =)

My guild is the best I could ever ask, but would be nice to spend some time with some good friends I have out there :)

That idea is not selfish, please arguments like "so leave your guild" and things like that just don't have any effect.

When I left WK, I had considered taking a "World Tour".  Leaving my guild was a tough decision, as I sacrificed a Ruby medal when I did, and burned a bridge behind me in the process.  I'm not complaining, mind you, I know I will always be part of their family, and I love my new one as well...  But the option to take a short vacation may have changed my final decision.  Taking tours used to be a big thing with vets in the old days.  DarkArchon did it, Phool did it.  I think Mzz has done it too.  For this to be an option for these players to do this without it costing a guild and the player as it does now may be a good thing.  And with restrictions in place to prevent abuse, I don't see how it could be a bad thing.  I like it.  IDK if it will fly, but I do like it.  It has the Penny Seal of Approval ™ :P

Much rather prefer inter-guild chatting interface...Not an alliance system just guilds that opt to talk to each other. This creates no advantages nothing just a way to talk Guild to Guild. I imagine people would spend alot more time on the game if so...Maybe make a gold sink for it?
