umm, guys, whilst you all debate who's right, wrong or otherwise, you're still ignoring the elephant in the room:

No one has ignored it. There are ways to achieve "not adding +8 stam gain epics" and simultaneously "adding +8 stam gain epics". I've pointed out one way to do it above. 

"stamina gain" is relative. Meaning it's measured against how much stamina it costs to do things. If it is a worry about creep in this regard there is an easy solution/'s. We want to have things to continue working towards specifically in this instance upgrading stam gain through epics. When joining the game it's just about everyones goal to obtain epics and continue upgrading them. 

Means of progression in MMO's need to be timeless. You can't just start cutting off progression paths unless new ones replace it, that is how MMO's die. As Juvi put it Stagnation...

Heavily adjust level formula at eoc that has long needed an adjustment. Then add +8 epics at EOC.

We can gain a level with 250-500 stam depending on if it's 2x or not. With the content we receive all year this is barely 2 weeks of stamina. To stay competitive at EOC it should cost much more than 2 weeks of stam, I would argue a couple months of stam.

If you need to justify adding higher stam gain epics then adjusting leveling formula could be the answer. A full set of +8 epics is only an extra 78k Stam a year (Assuming you never took them off). This can be compensated with much needed changes to the leveling formula (From EOC forward).

If we are worried about stamina gain creep this can be easily addressed many ways to where when added they are actually a net negative.

This would also make content releases much more impactful of an update. This would also help with the best player medal issue. 

If it's something players constantly want (I hear about people wanting them all the time), we should try to find a solution to make it work. Collecting and upgrading stamina gain is a massive drive to the players throughout the entire game. It's important we take good care of these player urges because it's what makes the game active throughout. When people suddenly have that drive taken away they get very bored. Whatever the reason is for not wanting to add them I believe we can remedy.

Hello EpicPiety, I understand that opinions can change overtime, but we took this suggestion that you made some time ago and decided to explore the latter. I'd be happy to hear why you'd be against a buff that could counter it, or if you have any suggestions yourself what would make a Skill like Relic Defender more worthwhile?  :) Thank you for your feedback so far!

My opinion hasn't changed. Thanks for taking it into consideration however, when I had said counteract I didn't mean 30m buff with 10% effectiveness at max castable. If this is already set in stone, i would say increase duration to NMV length and vastly increase the buff to nearly cancel ROT or allow 100% activation to dispel at 200 buff level with NMV duration. However this is not the ideal solution as I mentioned later in that thread.

The ideal solution is removing a buff that should have never been introduced. Defending a relic already has so many vast disadvantages, caking on ROT was not necessary. However I don't think in the recent history (Maybe ever?) of the game HCS has been willing to remove content to the game (Even when it absolutely should). We are focusing far too much at adding, when IMO we need to focus on refining or in some cases removing what we have.

I think it will be found in this thread that most of the community doesn't want buffs to counter buffs that ought to just be removed to begin with. But you will find many of them will settle for something rather than nothing. This does not mean they truly agree.

This form post isn’t about buffs already in the game. Relic defender has long been needed since the introduction of reign of terror.

Yes this is precisely why I posted. Reign of Terror should not be a buff at all. They are wasting time with Relic Defender, it doesn't really remedy the issues at all with relics. Just remove the Reign of Terror buff.

Relic Defender will not do anything. Reign of Terror should not be a buff to begin with. Especially after multiple group attempts have been added to be able to RNG capture relics. We are littered with copious amounts of detrimental and impactful RNG buffs. Odds are you will get a concoction of procs by the time you've exhausted 10 group hits.

For the players that play this part of the game, this is not fun.

Remove Reign of Terror and don't add Relic defender.

All for one makes sense, SE sets simply do not match up after a certain level due to scaling. I've not ran the numbers on exactly how impactful it will be. But I'm sure someone (Toreth) will do that for us.

Not sure galvanize is necessary, seems like we keep caking on power creep and not having an equal and opposite correction to PVE. On top of that having more buffs is not necessarily good for PvP. We already have so many means of passively and actively increasing HP.

What is trying to be accomplished with Galvanize and Relic Defender?

Given the boosted stats and the same level requirement (assuming the level requirement hasn't changed) then there's no need to make them even more powerful ?

I think as booster items they're gonna be very overpowered as it is

Adding a 3rd stat to an item actually decreases the overall stats of an item. Hell-forging is % based and it gets split another way. This would actually be a nerf in overall stats regard.

4:1 scaling is not overpowered there was a whole write up on this. The upgraded cow epics have been in the game for months and this proved true in practice.

I would much rather prefer HP to be added to epics through crafting bonus. People can choose if they want HP a third stat or not (Player choice is great whenever we can have it). Is this possible BG?

For example if you craft it perfect it will add the +100 HP but anything below would be no hp?

It cannot just be global booster, some people are killing 2-5 kill creatures to achieve numbers. It needs to be counted as contribution not kills.

I think overall the change is good.

The captured relic slot is a huge W.

I think 2% stats makes sense for the achievement. In a future update you can possibly offer tiered achievements and expand. I do think the max stam is rather lacking, some relics give out 2500 stam. Wouldn't hurt by any means to bump to 500 or so.

The one I am most dissatisfied with is the stam gain one. Effectively its impossible for all but 3 guilds. It will cost 75m stamina and is not worth aiming for. It will need to be achieved passively to be worth it which is impossible.

Bring the kills down to 50m and convert it to contribution.

Without this change it will never be done. This will also open the achievement up to more guilds. Simple math will point that out.

That relic restriction is there for a reason. It should remain for very obvious reasons. Recruit people to your guild or pay someone if you wanna capture.

I see a lot of talk about things being unachievable.... Reading over the list, I see nothing that is any more daunting than say "Unstoppable"... How many of you have reset the count for that achievement? (be honest with yourself, now)

The more things we get, the more we seem to be dissatisfied with what we get...

Maybe the cows should just mimic other games, with regular events always being nothing but just one more money grab.... would this make you guys happy?

Penny, most of us are not happy with sucking up crumbs.

This update really showed how out of touch they (whoever greenlit this) are with the game. Granted I knew this was going to happen most likely I hinted a few times I hope the achievements make sense and are worth it. But alas most of these are not worth the time of day.

Updates are supposed to give players a reason to play the game. Some of these shake out to be 2-3 years long group quests, the reward must make sense.

No one is attacking the cows for the sake of attacking the cows. We dont get new things very often so ofcourse we expect things to be very thought out.

Takes like these allow these things to happen. You can't straight face me and tell me +10 stats has an effect at any part of the game, any player that has played for atleast a week knows this.

Let's work together to improve this update.

Cool update,

Definetly do change the stats from +10 stat > 5%-10%stat. 10 stats does not make a difference at any level.

I'd love to see the GS slots move from 1 > 10, this is some nice progression and goals for a guild to work towards and really isn't a big deal in the grand scheme of things.

Max Stam would be nice to move from 10 > 500, some relics give far more than that so it's a nice boost and not too broke.

Is it 100m kills or contribution, 100m kills will be impossible on the stam gain one.
