Ever have a day when you can't decide what to hunt? Well, here's a tool that will help you out.

Monster Picker

Caution: It is a work in progress. I will be finishing the wisdom section this weekend. Until then, manually enter in the min/max spell dmg section if you use magic.

Also, if anyone would be so kind to confirm some things: What are the caps in the Yvew Homeland, What is the amount of ATK reduction for Thump and Thump+? I think Thump+ is 25% atk reduction.

Enjoy.

How are the results sorted?
By xp/ap or what?
If it is so, you should print also the xp/ap rate by each creature. Nice job by the way :)

Defense x .2
AC x .2
HPs x .05
MPs x .8

Added code for wisdom and worldly skills. also takes into account MP refreshing should you need to do that while hunting.

i think you should take lucky strike/lucky strike+ into account for some creatures... cause that make fairy dragons killable, and squids killable faster...

not too sure about the eaxct percentage but with thump + i miss about 30-35% of the hit i do... and that on creature that even if you remove 25% of attack i still hit 99%... so i think it remove 30% of chance to hit no matter what...

Average AP spent looking (teleport, walking): why don't you modify this to put something more clear like : how many square can you move by AP

I confirmed thump+ last night. It reduces your atk value by 10% which in effect reduces your chance to hit by 25%.

I need to find someone with thump (and who has around 100 ap or so to donate to the cause) to get it's exact values.

I don't know the values for lucky strike or lucky strike+, once I have those, I will add them. Also, need Critical Hit info.

I think your info for Masadons is off, or I'm doing something wrong (which is entirely possible). It's telling me 3 hits per kill, I never have them take more than 2 hits. Same thing for Heraldics. It's throwing my xp per ap off by a lot.

if you checked Use Detect, that adds 1 ap.

I checked detect as well as one ap to travel, that makes it 4 aps total per Masadon kill, and it's showing my average xp per ap to be 6.5k. I've averaged out over a week's worth of aps killing Masadons and came up with 9.5k xp per ap. That's a 3k difference.

I have to say bloodula is right. Ichecked detect and 1 ap for travel and it gives me 3 aps average for masadons. I think that should be 4 aps as i cannot kill them in 1 hit.

I think something is wrong with the 'Monster Picker' because when I used it and enterd my stats I got this:

Name AvgExp / AP Avg AP
0 ) Zenix Overlord 92 2995
1 ) Venom 78 116
2 ) Gargoyle 69 19
3 ) Piranha 67 80
4 ) Wisp 48 61
5 ) Vamp Master 42 35
6 ) Collector 35 25
7 ) Vamp Lord 33 24
8 ) Zombie Critter 31 22
9 ) Fire Imp 29 26

There is no way in hell that I can take on a Zenix Overlord.

or can I.....?

ya, and it doesn't account for lucky strike/lucky strike+
since for me, with lucky strike+.... bile demons are 1 hit kills 50% of the time now... which should be factored in for creatures without enchanted armour...

I agree since I can get a better average than that on those creatures with 500 fewer level-ups in attack and dmg than you.

I took the information from the Book of Wisdom. If stats there are incorrect (xp values, hp, atk, etc.) then my list will be inaccurate also. This tool is only as accurate as we as a community make it.

To see some of those other creatures, try increasing the amount of ap it takes to go look for them. The list changes very dramatically.

Again, this is based on average xp of a creature. The only reference I have is min and max values.
