Thanks for the update. Looking forward to the new features, wasd for the win! I voted on Steam, hope others do as well.

PS. Might want to start earlier rather than later with a communicated release plan... patch / feature release / expansion. U know - patch weekly (game balance, bug fix) / feature monthly or quarterly (wasd/local client/hardware rendering/mounts/guild system/auction house/small content updates) / yearly expansion (larger feature/larger content/max level raise). This game is awesome fun already and has so much potential I'd hate to see its reputation burned by uncurbed customer expectations. I've seen it multiple times and saddens me each and every time. Keep a happy and healthy development pace. We'll need ya for the long haul!

I really like this post, to the point where I am quoting it mostly for the re-post. It can't be stated enough that a happy AND healthy development pace is great, as well as balancing player expectations. You guys have been doing great, but don't overwhelm yourselves!

Not going to totally disagree with Frog, but....

1. I don't know the number of users playing Neverwinter now, but that had similar problem with 'losing' users at end game cause there was "nothing to do". The only reason that I have up on that game was that healing really sucked, and could do any real melee stuff. And yet there are still players. Similarily for SWTOR. I don't pretend to know how the devs think it will take to get to max level, but if they assume that users will play for X hours a day, and get N xp, they have an idea how long it takes to get the the max level. And then you will find players that will play non-stop and get there in a much shorter timeframe. User choice!

2. No AH or player shops. No big deal IMO. In other games, people still bought and sold in world chat when these facilities existed.

3. No Guild. Minor. Sure, there is the odd gripe on world chat, but it makes for a much larger and interactive community.

4. Gold Cap. Show me a FTP MMO that does not have a gold cap. DDO and LOTRO, neverwinter (from memory) have these caps. But you could item from shop to remove this cap.

5. Class based game. Sort of... I can choose skills from any tree, but the gear I wear, and attributes can both enhance and hinder selection. (In runes of magic, a priest/warrior wisdom attribute contributed to melee damage). Other users have shown that hybrids are possible, but maybe not for mix/max players. Think here though that getting 1 point to allocate per level is a bit limiting.

6. Issues with PvP. Same in most games I have played, including, bots, unbalanced teams etc. I cannot really of many games where PvP were an addon and was a level playing field. That said, if you did paint ball games (you and yours friend vs commandos) who would win? Fair? Doesn't matter, its life.

7. Nothing to do... Would be nice as someone suggested to build a house etc. but I know people that play minecraft or similar games that would craft their life away. May not be everyone's cup of tea.

Final comment... this is still a relatively new game. I read a article (can't remember the exact game) but the point of the article was this. Most games, like WoW, DDO, Runes of Magic etc. had similar issues when they started that 'stopped' people from playing or staying or whatever. Some of the features asked for here were only added years after these games were released. And if everyone was so critical of those games when they started, they would not have gotten to where they are today.

My personal view, is still that it is too easy to get to max level too quickly. But then all the Gen Y & Z kiddies that don't get to max-level the day after they start will spew.

Thank you dev's for keeping up updated and finally a 1/2 decent game to play (which is a compliment from me, considering the crap I have tried in the last few years to feed my MMO needs.)

"Class": Warpriest (thats my aim). Professions: Cooking lv16 - (self sufficent atm) that includes farming, fishing, foraging etc. Alchemy (lv10) - by product of cooking when gathering mats don't sell. And mine for money.

I think the leveling pace is fine the way it is, I mean i would even say that quests aren't giving enough experience.
But being a supporter/buying potions would really make it an ease, that's the whole point though!

I don't have a problem with the game taking awhile to level (I think it's pretty fast, actually) but it does seem like (especially at level 30 on) quests don't fill up as much of each level as they used to. Maybe it's just the lack of a lvl 30 dungeon, not sure. I'd like to see more quests added so that a person with supporter can get to about 90% of level the majority of the time. I guess there's really no difference between grinding and "kill 20 of X" quests, but the quests that have me run around or do something less of a grind are fun and missed after killing voidlings from 50% to 100% of level.

My suggestion is to add more quests and to lower the exp received. This way there are more quests per level and leveling doesn't get any faster. :)

If a feature isn't mentioned that was in the last post its maybe not quite on the horizon because of other things we want to do first, but still planned. Also please remember this is mostly about technical features, so it is not intended to go into content related areas like level 40-50, balance, etc, which are also being heavily worked on.

Probbbbbbaaaaabbbbbbbbblyyyyyyyyyy not Raven. READ :)

45 content is not part of today's patch. We've still a bit to do for that content.

Big shout out to the Devs team, thank you all for making such a great game. Yes, it has flaws, but it is also pretty kickass. I've played another of the HCS games and I know that HCS Devs are gonna keep up the out-fucking-standing work. Thanks again guys =)
