​I think given the change to reduce the offline time for AFK targets, you should add the increase to the level brackets for the trial alongside it. With the reduction of targets that comes from reducing the offline time, you risk making already pretty dead brackets even worse. I think the previous suggestion of increasing the level bracket by an extra +/- 25 levels for every 1000 levels, alongside the current brackets, would be a good starting point - and can always be changed during/after the trial.
 
As an example for my level, at 3492:
With no level bracket increases (+/- 100 levels): 9 targets (Pretty dead considering a cooldown of 10 days per guild)
With the suggested +/-25 levels per 1000 level addition (+/- 175 levels): 18 targets (Much more acceptable)

On the offline time, I assume you plan to follow the current behaviour. Right now, a player can become inactive during the conflict. So if you start a GvG, and someone in the defending guild has been offline for 6-7 days, at some point during the 24 hour period (assuming the GvG lasts the full period) - they will become afk and unattackable during the GvG.
 
Given the changes will also help guilds defend better, I think the chances of GvGs lasting longer, even to the full 24 hours, are much higher. So to guarentee that targets do not become untargetable during the GvG, you would have to ensure they have logged in within the last 24 hours before starting, which IMO is too little. To resolve this I would suggest 1 of 2 options:
 1. Increase the afk time to 3 days and preserve the current behaviour.
 2. Change the behaviour so that the afk time is only checked at the start of a conflict, and once the conflict has started, targets cannot become untargetable by crossing the afk threshold.

I would like to say thank you to the admins for sorting out this gvg clone problem, now we can all get back to enjoying some good gvg action without the stain left on the honest gvg community by these people :) we welcome the proposed hits by all guilds especially our good friends at RA as stated above by ricebred

As I have said before, of course I would like more participation, and more competition. However you have to understand that the system presented would not do this, rather lower participation. Im not going to bother to explain this again, because you have either not read my previous posts or just simply don't agree with me, which is fine...

 

For me to support this idea, changes have to be made thats all:

- Your pride is irrelevant, draws are not losses

- Ladder - esque system to give all guilds a chance to compete for top rewards 

- New RP items would double pvp activity overnight

Although I agree that it doesn't need to be a "level" playing feel; the current suggestions would just instantly result in the small dedicated gvg guilds reaping all the rewards,  ultimately changing GvG to a point where it would be less beneficial to guilds like mine, that are not gvg focused, and irrespective of what guild or thoughts you have, you can't deny this - It would create a "the rich get richer scenario". 

 

So my question to you is, how does this system appeal to gvgers like me, who enjoy the gvg aspect of the game and would love for changes and to take part in this, however I ultimately know my gvg team would stand no chance?

 

Consider this without thinking about RP, yes we for example farm RP but putting that aside, this system still has so many flaws. What is wrong with a simple "ladder-esque" system, which remains pretty much the same as the system you have  suggested, but divides guilds based on their size? In fact even a ladder system in GvG based on size would slash gvg activity through slashing the number of targets any given guild has

 

As I and others have said before, Cutting RP rewards by 50% for attacks against guilds under 1000 rating, as well as no RP for defenses, will not "strengthen" the price of RP, it will kill it.

Firstly, It's pretty safe to say every current guild that has a gvg system will TRY to defend hits, with this system the number of guilds that would bother to try to defend hits would obviously increase. At the moment, if a guild consistently defends against us for draws, well we will just not hit that guild as its not really worth it. Getting NO REWARD for attacking a guild that then  gvgs the gvg WILL create a system where the only viable targets for the majority of the game are those who simply do not gvg i.e they will have less than 1000 rating, which in your system means 50% less RP.

 

You say your system aims to increase gvg activity, but lets be honest it will just kill it further after the initiate "hype" of the first "season. You are right, RP prices will go up, however the rate at which it can be farmed will be slashed to pieces for all except the dedicated guilds that can attack any target and defend any target, due to their small guild size and gvg focus it is viable for them to buff every member of their guild, for every member to wear defence sets.

 

Don't get me wrong Im not opposed to GvG change, I remember when I gvged a few years ago it was much more competitive and fun place (and I was doing it free then). Although I GvG now I don't gvg for pride or for fun, I do it because its easy money. I would love for some changes to GvG but I don't think this is the right direction to go with the current changes you propose

I think the stam gain is reasonable atm, it's pointless to have it at a point where you can do whatever you want because you have no limits on stamina

I don't have any problem with buffs from donation chests, or from events - I think the only problem is composing. The level of buffs you can get for such an irrelevant cost is disgusting

I feel pretty much all are over powered, but in particular keen edge, coord atk and def, and smashing hammer just give ridiculous boosts to you stats

I don't like the idea for two reasons:

1 - Sounds like it will just benefit the players with the largest stamina pools

2 - Making you feel like you HAVE to log on to do something rather than want to is a kinda bad idea
