If you have already installed Java, but it is not working in Firefox follow this guide to ensure Java is enabled in the browser.

 

1) Open the Firefox Browser.

 

2) Press the 'Alt' key on your keyboard to display the menu.

 

3) Click on 'Tools' then 'Add-ons':


 

4) Click on 'Plugins' on the left-hand menu:


 

5) Look down the list to find Java™ Platform 7 - note it will have '(disabled) to the right of the name if the plugin as shown here:


 

6) Click the drop-down menu where is says 'Never Activate' and change it to 'Always Activate'. When you do this the (disabled) text should disappear.
 

7) Java is now enabled in the browser.

Thanks for the info HCS , was a little dumfounded this morning when I logged in , I knew I had the latest java version loaded but couldnt remember how to fix the problem .

NEED HELP so went to go play  on browser option.. the you need java  thing poped up, i re-installed java, deleted history,etc, etc, ..i clicked the x nothing, it is activ eunder add-ons, PLS HELP

I know this is an old thread from last year. I am new and tried to play the game, and it requires Java, I checked in my Software center thing on Zorin OS 9 which is Linux distro, and I have it installed, but the plugin doesn't exist in Firefox. So I'm not really sure how to get this working. I can't play anything that requires Java because it's non-existent in Firefox. Do I need to make a separate thread for this, or is this where I should be asking about it?

Rehashing an oldie, but apparently I can't use Java on Firefox as Mozilla has blocked it for some reason. Any alternatives that would allow me to play Eldevin without changing browsers?
