I think a good number of people just join arenas for the DQ unless they are an arena pro. 

 

I  think that's the biggest issue that Arena has, and that change won't help fix it, not by much anyway.

 

It'll open space for that very small group of PvPers who have their own good setup, for their specific level range, other than that it'll only allow for the 'big ones' in Arena to join tournaments already filled by their guild, but the number of 'new Arena players' won't be affected by much...It'll make tournaments run faster for sure, and honestly, that's enough for me.

On a second subject, Arena needs to find a way to encourage new players to try it, the '100-500 wins bracket' is a good idea to start, but it needs more, I'm trying to figure out what else could be done, maybe a way to test setups/moves for free? Like a combat simulation using random tournaments from the past week/month (removing any form of identification)...I don't know, whatever it is it'd have to be something major, made with the help of multiple players.

When arena was setup without the store, there was very limited supply of resources and stuff to invent sets. Therefore there was a huge demand and limited supply. Price of these resources and sets went for unimaginable numbers. This was most likely the biggest draw to arena back in the day. Now, if you are lucky if you manage to win say 4-6 arenas you can cash out for a 5-6 FSP BM300.

Key to arena is creating a shortage of something that's required to make something that will remain in high demand that has very exclusive necessity in the game.

These new things added to arena MUST NOT be within the store. They must be won individually again like back in the day.

Another Idea just got to my mind 

 

Add timer on every tourney if not started in like 3-6 hours  the guild rule restiction will turn 50% instead of 25%  on that tourney and more guild members who want to play arena can join.

 

Now we have multiple suggestions , I think this one is very fair and simple to apply !

unless you like to see tourneys sit there for long and the players who want to play can't play due to guild restriction rule...

Absolutely! This idea is great. I am very much in favor of this. Feels like a more than fair compromise.

And after X more hours it gets rid of the Guild limitation all together, super in for it.

The disparity is still way off itself in the arena.

 

Going from 75 to 100 running at a time was a thing. A plaster if you will. The 5 mins from 15 mins thing is still questionable instead of 2 the mins it originally was now things appear to be stable again.

 

However the max level still doesn't equate anywhere near to EOC when they spawn.

 

If that's fixed it will drop the range down again in low ranges for those wanting to try their range after getting a few moves from the novice arenas.

 

If you want more new players to play and learn there needs to be more low level arenas to start with.

 

Again, I really don't care what happens with the guild rules for items but there needs to be more arenas, you can't split a near 5k range (well, if updated) over 100 options and say, yeah, that'll do.

I suggested multiple times 2 tourneys for every 100 level seems fair but still didnt happen...

i think 1-100 and 101-500 should be treated specially to have even more than 2 per 100. This range is pretty diverse and it would be fun to have more of them.

Arena needs an entire development month dedicated to it. It is one of the most wholesome pieces of content in FS.

Shindrak makes a great point for the arena to go to 50% participation.  I have at least 3 other hardened arena freaks in my guild.  It is very hard for me to get into tourneys and I'm sure that they can make the same claim.  This 25% rule is cramping the arena aficionado and needs a serious change.

It's only a matter of time for me personally before I leave my guild just to participate in the arena.  I really don't want to, the benefits of a guild are many; but I'm afraid it is the only solution.

We would just like to apologise for the delayed response to this question!

 

When the next roadmap is constructed, this is certainly something we can discuss, and if we have any new ideas for the Arena we will make sure propose them to the community before we make any changes :) 

 

It has been quite a busy month for us, but I shall try my best to bring attention to areas of the game that need updates!

The worst message to receive: “ Unable to join as 2 of your guild have already entered in this tournament. A maximum of 25% rounding up of the total participants may be in the same guild.”

Looking at this thread and playing arena I realize that nothing is actually wrong with the current arena. Concentrate your efforts elsewhere in the game, arena is running just fine and I see no need to change anything.  If anything the restrictions should be only 1/8 or 2/16 guild members in same arena, as they are currently there's way too much room for collusion as shown by what happened last year.

The same that's been going on for ages. You assume that your guild players enter with the most outright gear to win.

 

Not collude on a % chance that one gets the win over discord etc. and next time the others enter.

The 25% Guild mate arena rule should be changed to the following.

 

Joining with all your own gear = bypass 25% rule

Joining with Guild Tagged gear = 25% rule applies

Guild Tagging has been addressed.

Elaborate? You mean asking people to intentionally lose arenas. This is currently possible and very easy to coordinate we live in 2022, age of communication.

As stated before i am 100% in favor of this being made TOS. Read up, lots of pages here.
