#901973 Should HCS add more Story Modes ?

Posted by Neceini on 18 November 2014 - 21:41

I voted yes.  I am very much a solo player.  I enjoy being able to trade, chat with friends, help lower level players thru dungeons when i can and generally interact with other players in the game.  I very rarely get a large block of uninterrupted time where I can commit myself fully to a group dungeon.  I feel that shouldn't hold me back from being able to get at least some of the decent gear in the game.  I am fine with Story Mode giving less loot and less relics.  That makes total sense to me as a solo vs. group dungeon.  I understand I will have to run the dungeon solo many more times to gain the relics, but that is a choice I make going solo.

I also disagree with taking away the weekly quest choice in the story mode.  Again, as a solo player I believe I should still have the ability to get things like flakes so I can eventually get my gear together.  Maybe a suggestion is to make the weekly's limited to once a week per account, instead of per character (so each player can only do the weekly once, instead of once on each character)?  Just a thought!  :)

#901949 Should HCS add more Story Modes ?

I'll add my 2 cents for what it's worth (probably not even a penny :)):

I voted yes for a few reasons:

1) There are already story modes, but level ranges are missing (35, 40). These should be at least filled in if you have other level ranges. There should be no "locks" or "limits" unless you do the same thing for dungeon modes. This is one of the only ways to really gain relics in order to make/buy gear, as most dungeons aren't even being run anymore.

2) It's hard enough trying to get a group together for most dungeons. Since I have started watching chat for runs, I have run 1 To3 dungeon since I turned 34 - and that's with multiple requests about looking for the dungeon. When I log on, I queue for the dungeon, and I'm usually the only person in the queue. There is not enough dungeons being run to not put in story modes.

3) Sometimes it's better to know that not completing something is on me rather than on the group that I have. There are plenty of people on this game that don't know how to play their characters unfortunately, and that brings the "group" play down, part of the reason I hate grouping. Perfect example was back in the beginning of the game - Odhar Scar play with 90% of the people not understanding how to do the dungeon, even after explaining it to them.

#901948 Make bags account bound not char bound

Problem I do not think has been raised yet... say I buy the max amount possible of Large Backpacks to fill my inventory slots and stash slots on my Main character.

Now in the future they release new "Larger" Backpacks.

If I then want to improve my mains inventory space, I have to destroy 16 Backpacks that cost me 1500 EP each? just to upgrade to the new ones.

If they were not character bound, I could at least pass my old Large Backpacks to an alt.

#900078 [Vanity] Allow non-vanity items to be equipped as vanity

Posted by Lucid on 12 November 2014 - 14:22

only draw backs some of vanity sets that they make money from would now be obtainable without EP
id prefer a system that involves a gold sink so u can have a base item and for a fee change its appearance to that of another u have, consuming the item u want to use for the vanity

Hello, new player here (less than 10 hours played, but enjoying it a lot so far!) - I have few issues with the game, the most notable are inability to disable Click To Move and regular items not being equippable as vanity items.

There are a couple of pieces of armor I've found so far that I really like! I would like to equip them as vanity items because I think they look cool. I can understand this perhaps not being a great idea in PvP depending on how pvp works (e.g. it would be bad to implement if you could tell how strong/what kind of skillset/build a character is using solely on armor equipped), but I would love to be able to walk showing off my beetle armor while I'm questing or crafting. :)

#899919 Playing on Steam Client (Black Screen)

Posted by Rhaythe on 11 November 2014 - 21:19

Actually it seems to be happening on eithr launch client now... with or without steam, it is completely random and I can't specifically duplicate it.

As far as what advanced settings I should alter I am clueless in that department so I would likely do more harm then good.
