I'm not sure if this has been discussed else where and if it has then a repost here wont hurt I suppose. But can anyone of the HC Staff clear up what the beta system/process is going to be like and who is getting access when? When does it hit Internal beta? Who does that include? When does it hit open beta? How can you get access to that etc?

Not going to give any dates there's still a lot of work to be done. It'll hit internal beta and if that proves successful we will try and open it to a limited number of players which we will increase as the beta gets more stable. Most likely it will be invite based to start off with.

We're all working really hard to ensure we have a live beta this year.
Wave 1 will be invite only.
Beyond that we haven't finalized exact plans but we will definitely have numerous rounds of closed beta.

Invite as in just random people on the email list? Random people from your games? or set invites to people you think would benefit your beta testing?

Well seeing as they askedus to sign up here for beta i hope it will be people whove sgined up here also hoping it will go on those who signed up years ago when the game was first mentioned

I would personally have people apply to become a beta tester as if it was their job... I mean as a tester you are suppose to report any bugs and help out the developers any way possible.. Plus it would show who is most qualified ;p

Opening Beta to public before new year would absolutely be the best Christmas present from HCS I could imagine. Hoping for best as release is still scheduled for Q4-2012 ( unless I've missed updates? ).

Does not seem likely by now...
And for the posters above, I have been waiting for years myself on this game, back to an old website for it when they where still showing their work in progress on the planned mobs (I think that I remember looking at something that looked like a beholder, at one time).
