Hi there, i have a problem and i want to figure it out. I was hunting wir\th full stam and after 40% of lvl  ~ 500 stam , i see my stam 28 and the error that i can't attack with doubler lvl 750 on with less than 320 stamina .... i was like

did you happen to have an unresolved combat? with high doublers, that can suck out a LOT of stamina with just one

with Nightmare Visage 175 on, it transfers 43.75% of your Attack to your Defense.. it's quite possible you over looked an unresolved combat because with doubler 750 that is x16 25 swings which is 400 stamina (forget if it is 25 or 50, or another number of swings max per combat)

 

looking at creatures you might of fought, the Dark Tree has 850-900 Defense and you wouldn't have enough Attack with Nightmare Visage 175 on

And to add to jedi's analysis, why on earth are u hunting with nightmare visage o_O

probably a ninja buff from a thousand hours beforehand.. ninja stars can sometimes lead to infection 

 

...beware of buffs that have the wording "transfer" in them.. they can slip you up from creature to creature

Unresolved combats is not suppose to activate doubler...Probably just got 2% before it got to unresolved.

probably the 2 % rule you did like 19 swings every time and then killed it = loads o stam and it's x 16 so 19x 16 = 304 ish stam that way you get trough real fast

 

i'd suggest that you go to your preferences and add severe condition and nightmare visage on block might aswell add counter attack for now since ur lower level this will save you a lot of stam when you get buff bombed
