Cassafras

Hiya.

 

I sorta disappeared after the last GGT. Sorry about that. But worry no more! For I'm officially retiring 'Cassafras' on this date (10/13/13). I know I've generally been on and off, but at this point I'm basically done with Fallensword.

 

Some of you might ask, "But why?!?!" (or not, just felt like exaggerating). For starters, I haven't touched GIMP in a couple of months so, eh. Next, I've kinda just stopped liking the game in general and really only keep in touch with one person nowadays.

 

But the biggest reason? I'm currently a senior in high school this year so I'm doing all the fun stuff like applying to colleges, marching band, art projects, and general balancing of my academics and extra-curricular. Basically, my free time is spent goofing off or sleeping...mainly the latter. FS has become a memory in my head.

 

That doesn't mean I won't forget any of you though! This forum is essentially where I began thinking of my career choices and played a bigger part of my life than many might think. So to all the wonderful artists that have been on here: Thanks.

 

To my friends/associates/colleagues/pals/however you relate to me: Keep being that awesome bunch of people that I remember.

 

To those that I've never met: Sorry I didn't stay on long enough to greet and meet you! If you've managed to make your way here, I guarantee you'll have a good time.

 

Well, I suppose that's it. Maybe I'll pop on once in a blue moon just to mess with you guys hehe.

So today's one of my favorite actor's birthday. Norman turns 44 today and I figured I'd get my inspiration flowing for all these contests and the GGT by making a little fan tribute to him.

I'm not one to make anything large so I went for an ipod/phone wallpaper size.

Just wanted to say Happy New Years from the East Coast! It's been fun hanging with all of you and I hope next year will be even more awesome

Anyone do anything exciting to celebrate 2013? All I did was chill at home after coming back from visiting relatives and watched Super 8. I watched the ball drop in Times Square of course and celebrated with some sparkling cider with the family.

'ello again artistic friends! Figured I'd start this up a little earlier so people have more time during the month to work around holiday plans and whatnot. This is an event DarkDyablo first set up and later ran by Roan. I posted it at some point and have been doing it since.

I do encourage all artists no matter what their experience level is to participate! It's fun, it's free, it's simply a nice thing to do during the holiday season.

Here's Roan's post with some modifications from me.

Hi there everybody

It would be fun if we would have a graphic (signature or avatar) exchange between graphic artists.

How would it work?

People interested in participating will post here.
You have until December 1st at 23:59 EST to register!

Then, I will use a random generator to pair people together.
I will send you a forum PM with the name of the person you have to create a gift for.

You will have to send me all works before December 25th.

On X-Mas day, I will post all gifted graphics.

Artist can make either a signature, an avatar or BOTH
They don't have to be related to X-mas at all. Try choosing something you know they like!

Do make sure if you register that you will be able to make something in time for X-mas. If something does happen though and you're unable to make anything let me know!

Of course if the number happens to be uneven, I'll participate as well. Otherwise I'm just the host.
