When it comes to visiting dungeons, considering lags and overall messy panic these hot keys would be quite a help for a healer. The idea is to remember party members by clicking CTRL+F1 for example, thus they can easily be aimed by pressing F1 later. The general idea is to use keyboard only in critical situations.

If you click their name whilst in the group (the name on the right hand side) it will lock you on to that player. This is already a sort of "blind" method when you need to panic-heal a player.

Another method is to hit the Ctrl-Tab and you'll cycle through players.  I agree there needs to be hotkeys (I suggested F1-F5 in another thread for targeting each player).  The lag is what always gets me when trying to click their name...it just doesn't always take unless you click and hold etc.

1) Distracts attention and makes you unfocused

2) Too unstable when it gets laggy

3) Chance to miss

4) less intuitively automated that "keyboardonly" style

I have nothing against the hotkeys, but I have had no problem in the past clicking peoples names to heal them and focusing on quite a few other things at once.

I'm not sure how it distracts attention since it's all on the screen?

 

I have yet to experience Eldevin being laggy so this one I'll take your word for it.

 

I'm not sure what you mean by a chance to miss? It's a largish name that you're clicking on, and it seems much easier to maneuver than having your hands placed all around your keyboard.

 

All I'm saying is it seems a kind of pointless addition, since there is already quite a few hotkeys for the keyboard.. anyway if the cows approve who am I to judge.

You can now bind your party members to whatever keys you would like.
