The instant Portal to Krull Island on the action list on world screen does not work must use the link in preferences to return to Krull

 

Laptop Lenovo with nvidia Gforce 870 graphics card  8.00gb installed ram intel core i7-5500 cpu @ 2.40 GHz running windows 8.1  and mozilla firefox 59.0.2

I just used the instant portal on the world map, and it worked fine. (for me at least...)

I tried on both phone and tablet and was not able to use the world map link to port out to Krul Island.  I had to use the Instant Portal in preferences to do so....  Update seems to have broken some things, but that's the norm these days, isn't it?  (no offense intended oh, mighty bovines)

I wasn't able to use the teleport on my old tablet device, which was over a handful of years old.. and I was never able to click the teleport button with it.. (this was last year)

then I got a flagship phone and it started working.. it still works with this new update..

when posting bugs with interacting with the web site.. including the device you use, browser, and if you are using other modifications like the fshelper helps pinpoint issues

Yes, guess I could share this info:

 

My tablet is an Alcatel Pixi 7 and is approximately 5 months old.   

My phone is a CoolPad Catalyst and is a bit over a year old.

 

 

Both are on AT&T wireless from my home router with approx 6MS speed (average or typical according to speed test) and I use Chrome (updated today) on both, no FSH.

 

 

I currently have no PC......

 

I believe I have stated this a few times about other issues.

i can not port either in the world map or in the prefs instant port.. im on PC

 

Edit: have now checked with several machines and browsers .. i turned off FSH/TM still nothing.. 

 

this is NOT on my end !! 

 

Edited 2x: i tryed old map and port and was able to get to krul .. but still unable to port on new map at all..

I wonder if anybody has sent in a bug ticket yet?

 

btw, portal works fine on the app, but I ran into some weirdness trying to travel to my hunting grounds.... unsure if this is specific to that particular area....

Thanks for reporting the issue, I tried reproducing on mobile and browser but I can't seem to get any issues using instant portal.

If anyone is still facing the issue, could you please describe:

  1. What realm where you in when you tried to teleport?
  2. What browser are you using?
  3. Does the issue still persist if you clean your browser cookies/cache for the game?
  4. Do you face the issue on the app?
  5. What exactly happens when you try to teleport, any error message?

FYI, I was able to reproduce the issue and catch the error, we'll be working on to fix that issue, thanks for reporting it.

Would like to suggest that these type of issues be identified on the Home Page. 

 

This is kind of added to the recent issue with the glitch on items from the GE chest being broken. 

 

The idea is that HCS does not have dedicated personnel in the Global Chat to efficiently respond to these issues which affect the entire game base. And those they do have... well, both those and Support could probably be saved a lot of time with game-wide notifications. 

 

I guess a game-wide log mass could work as well (to the extent it was recently done with the log glitch...decision which I argue should have been given 48h notice, but anyway) ... perhaps with a mass to the appropriate Forum post would also work. 

 

In any case, thanks for responding kami... 

 

Hope the cows step up to the plate for their golden baby app release.

However, the FS Forum is not often looked at... so, yeah. 

 

Really, I think this type of thing will be key if HCS' app is successful in drawing in more players. 

 

Repetitious repeating of "dubious" info in the Global Chat is not very efficient and given the incapacity to code for game relevant URLs, it also makes things like this even more ridiculous.

Yes a news flash,,,so everyone can ask on global and I can say "on the news flash" and they will go "where"

Of course it beats saying 'you can use the link under preferences" and have a 1500+ player go "WUT???"
