I just started playing the game and while playing I seem to keep disconnecting at random times. Sometimes it will happen often and repeatedly. My connection and computer specs should be able to handle the game fine. Is there a reason and/or solution to my problem?

I am not having any issues on the US east server..... Only had a disconnect  1 or 2 times .... Things to check are your router or modem make sure there is not a heat related issue... Run a speed test.. Make sure nothing is running in the back ground that is eating a lot of Memory / CPU... There can be a lot of reasons causing it...

 

Also I wouldn't call this a Bug.. Really is more of you needing help and is where this topic belongs...

The game does seem to spike my cpu oddly, but I'm not running much else. My router is fine, it's not my connection.

The description of the forum says to post any bugs or problems and I see this as a problem. I don't see how game experience would help me with a tech problem.

Well it sure is not a bug.. Until you run test on your equipment can't rule it out.. 15 years as a PC tech and 10 years of Networking Exp here the game uses your CPU as it is all browser based and Java... Not trying to be rude but there are topics in General Discussions.. on this type stuff.

Yes it is probably not a bug, but it is a problem. If it is my hardware, that would be unfortunate as I meet and exceed the spec requirements. I didn't find any topics that helped solve my problem in the general discussion. If it's a tech or java related probem I don't see why this topic would fit in general discussion. If this thread isn't in the right place then perhaps a moderator or admin could move it?

If you type /ping in the chat box while connected to your preferred server, what is the response time?

I'm having the same problem. 20 or so disconnects over the last 2 days. On Zephyr. Ping of 130. Powerful computer on enhanced cable. No issues elsewhere, including other browser activities or GW2. I don't think this is a prob on my end despite the above comments. I'm also experiencing lag which seems related.

The ping that I get is roughly around 130 as well. I hope that the steam version of this game would alleviate my issue.
