Please use high caution when selecting default spawning location for seasonal titans.

 

Granny Jeze as just spawned in Shroud Rim (Hunger Fields)

 

The entrance to that realm requires you complete almost a dozen quests, across several realms, before you can do so.

 

Spended almost 1k stam, and 30 minutes, to find out that I will never be able to reach that realm, because to invent the shroud key I will need a "strange mans rune" that I must have destroyed months ago after completing the "potent brew" quest (earned almost 40 levels bellow the quest where I was going to need it)...

 

Awfull felling and highly disapointing

Put in a ticket, send screenshot of quest progress and the cows will return the rune ..

Kraken requires a long quest line...

Lestus spawns in a region (1 out of 4) also requiring a quest line to be completed.

 

It happens... Kinda cool I think although I feel your pain when I went to go chase the Lestus that one time all buffed and blocked.

But I really believe that UFSG and Wiki should have a mention like "To enter on that map you should complete the Quest X", will make a lot more clear.

Sure why not? At least we as players can edit the wiki. Well some of us can. I got the password generated but I still can't edit articles in wiki

I have already submited the ticked and now I am crossing fingers. 

 

Meanwhile, someone must be having a heck of a fun hitting that titan on a non-easy-acess realm. He has spawned 7 hours ago and is still there. Usually it only requires 4h30m - 5h00 to be defeated.

 

The quests are really hard, you have to search and kill 2 elites along the way, get items from champions, etc., and they range from realms on 503 level to 533 level.

When I am levelling I sometimes skip some of those quests, multi-hitting and wandering in search of elites is not something I like to do when using epic pots...

On top of that, on your progress you can skip that realm, since there is a more direct way to reach the next world area.

 

I see no problem in having a few questlines attached to titans realms... but this one is exagerated and unecessary, especially if you take into consideration that these titans are here only for 2 weeks or so.

 

Sorry about all the crying, but I am really frustrated by this. Waited 24h for that titan to appear on a realm on my range, and when that happens... bang! An impossible to reach realm if you destroyed an item rewarded 30 levels before...

I was that soldier in that realm - and let me tell you I was very annoyed as I had been around and had seen no-one had attacked the titan for 90 mins, but had to go offline. I looked at mowgliks - *THANK YOU mowglik for your maps they are AWESOME!!!* and did not realise they were part of a quest chain that luckily I had finished. Of course when I was free and decided to go after it hours later, someone else started hitting at the same time - very annoying for them also - they were also hoping to get the titan all alone!

 

BUT

 

That realm is great for titan hunting.

 

Dark realm, three bottlenecked aeas, and a titan that blends into the background half the time when she is on the area margins or on one of the many area special sites.

 

Massively frustrating - BUT an actual challenge! I used a TON of stam for my 2500 hits. As a choice for a titan area I think it was excellent in terms of geography and setting allied to titan icon design. As others have also pointed out quite a few titans spawn in quest locked areas. At least three - Kraken, Terror and Eater of Time are at the end of long quest chains. It is a part of titan design.

 

I say hats off to HCS for this design.

 

 

 

But I am sorry Spartani that you found this out the hard way. That sucks. That was a hard quest line. The strange mans rune - I remember it well - I was anal enough to carry it forever on the off-chance it meant something.

 

UFSG would be good to include quest locked realms say 100 levels past that content - so it isn't a total giveaway.

 

 

 

Anyone else still carrying the Rose Lustre Pearl and wondering when it will ever come in handy? It seemed SO IMPORTANT at the time!!

Yep, happened to me :/ next time just get a low level lightfoot buffs and travel there just to be safe. I had a 600 lightfoot buff on with distil to find I can't reach lestus because 3 years ago I dropped a rune I couldn't even do a long quest I had to submit a ticket.

That map also seemed nice to me when I went to study it on wiki before (trying to) go there.

 

Have nothing against the map. 

 

The only issue for me is to have seasonal titans on maps where only a few lucky will be able to go because the game doens´t have enough info telling you that, if you waste item X, area Z will be FOREVER closed to you. Its an area game over!

 

Obviously one can sent a ticket. It can be a remedy for someone wanting to finish a quest for fun, but isnt´t am option when you are hunting/leveling or a titan appears.

 

Anyway, you were brave to keep hitting alone in such a hard map. I truly believe it was hard. Thumbs up for you!!!

Help your fellow players out and update the wiki. I went after one of the new Titans and it killed me 50+ times as I didn't know its stats so went with a full suicide setup. There is a thread with that info now and hopefully the wiki will be updated for next years hunters.

Just this thread has great info on some of the Titans that require quests so if someone who has access to wiki could simply update it, hundreds of future hunters would be grateful.

I get your angst, but, the bottom line is ...

 

It's YOUR fault you didn't finish the quest, it's YOUR fault you threw away the rune to complete the quest. It's not the cow's fault...

 

They can rectify the problem by generously replacing the item, but blaming them for titan placement is unfair and unjust.

 

You have/had exactly the same opportunity (as anyone else of a high enough level) to enter the map, after all ...

I just did that series of quests.  I knew to keep the strange man's rune, and to go back and do a quest somewhere between 475 and 495 that is a prerequisite to doing the second in this chain.  I think I mentioned this in the forum.  It would help, Big Guy, if the guide (or the quest we just finished) told us when we get a quest item if it is needed for a subsequent quest.  The wiki does have the information about these items, but not in the quests themselves, but in the item descriptions.  This informations needs to be cross referenced.  I didn't think to try to edit the questline description itself in the wiki though.

 

And, FYI, I also found another quest later on, that needed an item from the quest right before it (yeah, I fragged it).  This was Christmas day.  I sent a ticket, thinking I would get my replacement on Jan 5th, when the office reopened.  Hoofmaster himself was here December 26th doing those tickets, cuz I got my item, and he was the only Cow God logged in that day, or for a few days prior for that matter.  

 

There's no sense in complaining about having to finish quests to get to titans.  There are silly little level 80 quests to get to the Land of Elements.  Two of the Halloween Titans have quests tied to them.  Krumpers also has a quest.  It's a seasonal titan, and if BigGrim decides to add a little challenge to make the items a little more precious, accept that there is a method to his madness.... I commend him on his creativity and having a knack for being able to tie all this stuff together coherently.
