healing obe is not adding healing power
Posted 16 December 2015 - 07:13
I also went to test the Healing Obe at Roshaven and found it did not add the 5% to my healing power at all. Thank you for making this post, Maxx
Any other healers/players saw this too?

Yes. Just defense obelisk working. Showing increased defense in stats.

These needs to be fixed. They might work, but makes me super restless when there's no actual effect u can see yourself

it does affect your healing it's kinda like the damage obelisk
Fastest asv healer
Fastest rg healer
fastest icc healer in progress
Gotta go fast

The obelisk actually works. It doesn't increase Healing Power it just increases the values of your healing output directly as described "+5% healing".
Some numbers from a character with no talents set at all (simplifies testing).
Revitalize:
Without obelisk buff - 1019hp
With obelisk buff - 1070hp
Not every buff modifies stats.

Sorry if this a bit OOT.
But what about Massacre?
"For each medium armor equipped, you deal 2/4% more Melee Damage", but it doesn't modify stats nor effect DoTs.
Is it a bug or not? Melee DoTs also counted as melee damage though.

Massacre works much the same so unfortunately the buff doesn't apply to the stats just to the direct damage as it happens.
Just testing the Massacre stuff revealed that it wasn't quite doing as it described, the numbers output after adding the talent didn't make sense.
After the correction, simple test Assassin using Melee Attack in full medium gear:
No Massacre: 402 damage
1 point Massacre: 450 damage
2 points Massacre: 498 damage
It not affecting DoTs is how the system works. DoTs are generally of a damage type that is not melee/ranged/spell even when those values are used to calculate the damage.

Ah okay. So Shadow Strike is not bugged either. But why?
Most Assassin abilities are DoTs, and the only talent that actually adds more DPS from Assassin tree is Dual Wield Mastery while the rest DPS classes have more than 1
Even though Vicious Poison, Shock Trauma and Shadow Strike boost more damage dealt but they don't effect DoTs :/
