Bad idea, i dont know how this will effect people that already lag on either EU or US. plus we already lost the CC bosses on the oceanic server. it would really suck to lose 3 more.

i think they did try a server merge a while ago the players reacted badly to it.. i lag on both eu and us as they took the oc server from me

yeah they tried it by turning off EU and OC and forced everyone onto the US server. Back then there were more people than now, and each server had its own community of sorts. Not sure how it is now, may go down a bit better.

I say, try it again this time and see how it goes. They can always TEMPORARILY make a server inaccessible to players. Do it for both servers for a certain period, maybe a week at most and then review the feedbacks.

 

Myself being a player who came from the difficult times of the game (Before ICC, Before there were story modes beyond OS dungeon, before there was FoD, before there was CC. And as said by CBT players, times were even more difficult at closed beta.) Losing 3 CC bosses is nothing. That's what it truly means to be HARDCORE, HAAARDDCOOOREEE.... HAAARDCO.. HAARRD... HAAA... H.....

True, but I don't think this would have been an issue if HCS had been able to solve the lag issue.  There's also the convenience of switching servers if one has a quest glitch.

I think best having 2 servers, the lag can be quite bad with current numbers I wouldn't like to see with 1 server.

When one server goes down it is nice to have a backup. A few months back that happened what would we do without our fix

 

I'm sure there would be good points but overall I think many wouldn't like it.

I don't know about server merge but agama headpiece would be pretty neat.
