What do you think about increasing the amount of stamina gain per hour that can be purchaced via the upgrades page?
Seems to me that with the advent of "doubler".. and the new tubo speed of the servers...I can burn up 6k in stamina in under 2 hours. then taking 2 and 1/2 days to get it back..
Im sure it would be a good thing for FS admin.. more people on line longer and donating to buy more gain..
Some feedback and possibly a vote would be nice..

6k in 2 hours? I can burn 2k in 10 minutes (did that a few times)... I'd like to see it (the max stam gain) go up to 100, with the Endurance shrine maxed out that is.

Tell me, do you find spending 2 hours repeatedly clicking on icons as fun?

In my opinion, this is the by far worst feature of FS. Leveling up is a boring chore. You only have to do a bit of research (either on FSG or from guildmates) to find out what creeps to avoid and how to set up to kill those you don't want to avoid... that might take some time and actually feel "good" if you're doing at least bits of it yourself...

What comes after that? Even with doubler(tripler), you have to carry out something like 500-600 "combats" per level, and those combats are utterly boring because there's absolutely nothing interesting happening in them.

We don't need more stamina, we need to have more FUN with the stamina we get. I'm buying doubler mainly to minimize the endless creepkilling, not to get a few extra % of experience...

FS would be a great game if a stamina reform was to be executed. Either a 4xDoubler for everyone, or, which would be more preferrable, a revised combat system that would give us either something to watch or ideally something to "play" with.

In other words, I would LIKE to spend 1 hour a day with FS having actual FUN, not mindlessly killing creeps (without having the slightest worry or effort about the outcome of the combats).

So, if it took about 1/10th of today's amount of creeps to advance a level and the combat system would somehow need player interaction (and pose some challenges), that would be great.

It would be nice to come up with some big reform that would, among other things, make player attributes a bit more useful... meaning that almost everyone knows to avoid def, arm and HP - and that means bad design.
Also, almost everyone knows to avoid def and armor at the same time in their set - and that means bad design.

If a new combat system needed a better balance and for example allowed you to decide how to "spend" the stamina in a single combat, that would make the game much more interesting...

Maybe once the stamina gain is maxed out, to get it past +25 on the upgrades page, you have to spend 50 fsp per point of stamina instead. This would be great for the much higher levels, since they can actually afford that, and it may encourage people to donate more. I'd love to see more upgrades and more stamina gain, no problems here :D

Nice idea, I think it's reasonable to allow further stam gain purchases after 25 as long as the FSP cost is correspondingly steep.

In my opinion, this is the by far worst feature of FS. Leveling up is a boring chore. Yes, it feels somehow satisfying to go through the maths...but when it gets down to actually leveling, I have to methodically view the stats of every single creep I encounter, to see if I can kill it in 1 hit or skip it, it gets boring...and I encounter several hundred creeps too.

It would be nice to come up with some big reform that would, among other things, make player attributes a bit more useful... meaning that almost everyone knows to avoid def, arm and HP - and that means bad design.

Agreed, although defense and armor aren't totally useless in the entire game - defensive setups are used by both people who PvP and those who just wish to deter PvP attacks. Armor is a third or even a second priority when you assemble a setup, because high enough armor means safety from getting killed by a creep. Still, it's just the way the game is designed that rewards players who focus everything in damage.

If a new combat system needed a better balance and for example allowed you to decide how to "spend" the stamina in a single combat, that would make the game much more interesting...

Some random ideas on how this might be carried out:
- A chance of certain events triggering more when you use the 40- or 60-stam attack options in combat, i.e. better chances of getting Lib XP bonus, or slightly better chances of getting item drops, but with corresponding loss of actual stamina.
- Giving certain creeps more gold than they actually drop. The extra gold can only be taken if you attack (and expend) more stam, similar to the way stealing gold works in PvP (with Master Thief applying).

tik, I didn't suggest that armor and defense were bad - just that the combat system as it is designed makes them sort of contradictory. You either go for def (in PvP mainly, because everyone has more dmg than attack both in points and in equipt) or armor (often against creeps)...

The combat system should require both defense and armor to be important, not just one of them. Most games solve this problem by NOT having HP as an attribute, but rather something that slowly grows with levels... and then, defense working as a way to fend off most attacks or at least make them non-critical, whereas the armor then minimizes the damage.

I think that a move towards this direction would be nice... although it would require a serious redesing of both the combat system and item balance.
