i liked my suggestion that i gave a while back.

 

REWORK WHAT ATRIBUTES GIVE YOU

Vitality = Add maximum health and increase health regen. 

  • Change to- Add max health, increase health regen, and add to armor/deffences (something like 0.5% in each deffence per point so 40 points would give 20% melee, ranged, spell deffence this is not the numbers that would be used just as an example..) would neen to SLIGHTLY reduce amounts given by armors. 

Energy= Increase maximum mana and mana regen

  • Change to- Increase maximum mana and mana regen, and increase haste (set it to what haste from atributes was before you nerfed it OR set it a little higher but reduces haste from equips some), and add to healing power (maybe will need to test it)

Focus = increased accuracy and crit chance

  • Change it to - Increase accuracy and crit chance, and increase your dodge rates. 

Melee, Sorc, and ranged = Increase attack power, haste, and dodge rate.... 

  • Change them to - increase attack power and crit chance 

This will first off make the other atributes more usefull so makeing them more used. aswell as give people choices..  like currently WHY would i add a point in vit for 20 health when i could instead add it to sorc for more attack power, dodge,  and haste....  would much rather end the fight faster than have that little boost of health if i end fight faster then wouldn't need the extra health anyway.... aslong as had enough to not get 1hit killed.... same goes for energy.

 

It would also allow people to focus builds and/or choose hybrids..

personaly i still think upon entering pvp it should give an option to reset talents, atribs, or both.

 

and it should give all players atribs/talent points = to level cap

 

this would be a temporary reset and would be reset to your original build once pvp had ended

 

then not only do people get to stop worring about having a pvp or pve build it also further balances pvp as the largest problem is capped players have the end game talents while early/mid game players do not. and with this change they would (but only during pvp)

 

also could have option to save your "temporary" pvp build so players wouldn't have to reassign it each and every time.

I understand where that idea is coming from, but it could have an adverse effect. Now all level 45 supporters who can make EP easy would no longer need to actually support the game directly. They could just buy it with EP earned in game.

 

I for one and many others could buy years of supporter buff for free. It could work, but I am not really sure. I guess that would be something for HCS business model to consider.  :P

aye but not everyone has stockpiled mass amounts of EP like you have.

 

there would be LOTS of people wanting to buy ep to get this supporter that they couldn't get otherwise. they would create a much higher demand for EP in the community so there will be more players buying EP from HCS to sell to the community. 

 

so yeah i suggested this earlier in this thread and agree with it again here.

so 5 mins of gatheirng = 3g    at 75g repairs (higher if gear gets broken) thats 25x5=125 minutes  needing to repair twice a day = 250 minutes so to repair twice that'ld be 4hours 10 minutes of gathering.. hmm but where would i find time to play.....

Supporter buff gives your pets the ability to loot bags for you.

 

pets auto looting bags has been suggested before but others brought up the good point it'ld make it easier to macro/bot farm since wouldn't even have to loot items.  but if it was a feature unlocked by supporters people paying money for the game are much less likely to bot anyway so i think it'ld be safe.

 

supporter could get to do dailies twice a day instead of once

 

supporters could get a 2nd talent spec they can switch between the 2 once supporter was removed it would lock them back to only the main tallent spec

 

supporters could get 2 gear sets that could switch with the talent specs  (so could have a pve gear/talent spec and pvp gear/talent spec. the pvp gear set would only be active when you switched to the pvp talent spec.)

 

supporters could be given an option to gain exp, prestige, or artisan upon completing a quest (would be chosen each time the quest was completed like an optional reward)

 

 

 

also though i'ld suggest making it so you can buy supporter status for EP so players that are unable to spend real life money could earn gold and buy ep of players to get supporter....  i'ld say something like 1k ep per week of supporter. but that could be adjusted.

i'm not there yet i cant adress difficulty but i hope they keep in mind more hp and stronger hits aren't the only way to increase diffulty...  the runs take an hour +   while personaly i dont mind that so much (if the dungeon is interesting) a lot will be turned off by it and all sugestions should be how to keep people not what would i like. :)

 

that said 10mil hp dont make a boss harder.....  10mil hp and 10x the attack power dont make the boss fun 

 

attack and tactic diversity is the way to to go....  it dont have to be a 20 minute fight a 5 minute fight is enough if it is fun and difficcult and requires full team tactics to complete.

 

also try to keep in mind ASV is the FIRST (granted for now only but that will change) ascended dungeon. while it should be hard it should also leave room for dificulty progression. so each advanced dungeon beyond is able to be stronger and stronger with the last one needing a very leet group of players to complete

yeah i support the idea of buffing the wolf and as i said i think the mage minion should have inciting cry

 

but i also am totaly against buffing them to the point it makes you able to solo a dungeon but they need to be made more usefull

 

both ranger and mage have really high dps. so increasing the pets dps is out of the question the classes would become simply OP if so. so hmm how do we make them more usefull then... well both mage and ranger and dps classes dont like getting hit so if their pets can tank a little (not tooooo much) then they suddenly have a use. 

 

it could end up being hard to balance but that can be worked on but the way i see it is

Make the pets usefull for solo play

Make the pets able to help tank dungeons with FULL GROUP for times you cant find tank

Make sure the pets aren't strong enough to let you solo group required content.

i know this isn't other games but in most of them i play with both food and potion buffs it's almost always been 

 

you can have multiple potions but only one food active

 

potions = magical effect why cant you have more than one effecting you at once.... its the same as buffs cast from players

 

food = a nurished/full effect  if you get full from more than one food you become stuffed, sluggish, and want to lay around not get more of a bennifit.

 

 

idk i dont see the point in limiting, how is it op? if everyone can use the pots then a player who does so will only be OP to the player who chooses not to.

 

but in the end i dont REALLY care there is much much more important things so leave it as is, change it back to was, or make it 2,3,4 pots at a time.... i'm good either way

Lol stats will probably be the same as their dungeon counterpart. Until HCS breaks their stance on gem/random rolls being the main difference maker, new sets wont mean much. 

well they could always do like i suggested..... to add veriety and other play styles instead of everyone being the same build same gear....

 

i'll repeat again here...

 

Dungeon sets = what we currently have.

Crafted sets = pvp type bonus's for set bonus (IE single target skill dmg boost/cd reductions, or % chance snare/stun fails or silence immunity... things like that)

World Boss sets = set bonus's the memic/boost the % chance skill effects that world boss loots currently have. (increase proc rate, increase dmg... things like that)

Random World drop sets = pve type boosts, bonus sets can equal things like movement speed increase, exp gain increase, or aoe spell type dmg boost....

 

then we have different sets all able to have same stats on individual pieces yet still be very different sets. so primarily solo players have a couple choices group players have a couple choices we would then see a lot more veriety in builds and gears worn

 

 

[Edit] sets could easily have tiered bonus's aswell (like most games) where you get bonus's based on number of pieces worn....

 

Example

World drop set (pve set) bonus's could be

2 pieces = 5% movement speed increase

3 pieces = 10% experience gain

5 pieces = 10% damage increase to all your aoe skills.

 

Then crafted set bonus's could be

2 pieces = 5% chance to dispell snare abilities when cast on you.

3 pieces = increase stun immunity by 10 seconds

5 pieces = Increase damage from all your single target skills by 20% 

 

then could wear ALL of one set and get all 3 bonus's OR wear 2 of one set and 3 of another and mix the set bonus's like 2 world drop set and 3 crafted set would then give

5% move speed increase (2 piece of world drop set)

5% chance to dispell snare abilities when cast on you (2 piece of crafted set)

increase stun immunity by 10 seconds (3 piece of crafted set)

i'll start by saying FIRST i kind of agree with most people here the 250ep isn't all that much. it is relitivly easily earned by a free player. can sell gems, mats, or simply purchase with gold...  

 

that said i feel (once again) i should point out....  the number one advertising point i've seen used is "the freedom of a classless system" so perhaps concidering a price reduction, currency change, OR cooldown reduction wouldn't be such a bad thing.... if you're billing your game as one with such freedoms then shouldn't you atleast concider suggestions to help with those freedoms?

 

although i'ld say i like both zook's comment about why does it cost the same to respec 1 facet of your toon as it does to respec both.....  and i REALLY like the 24 hour grace period... dont even have to be 24 hours... heck even just 2 hours would be great..... many people may want to respec and try something but fear once they pay that 250ep respec their test build think oh shit i hate this.... crap now i'm stuck paying another 250ep... so some time to go test the build before being locked into it could help people feel more comfortable.

yeah i have to agree with this, on my ranger i would never care how much better the stats was on a bow i would still use the lesser crossbow...  the attack speed is always worth the stat loss.....

 

have to remember attack speed doesn't just affect auto attack but also your skill casting while kitting. (or so it was on my ranger) using a bow you have to wait longer for animation before being able to move again casting any skill otherwise it would interupt the cast even on instant cast skills while crossbow you can simply stutter step which is rangers strength. 

 

zook's idea would be good if the devs wanted to do ... make it optional have a bow and crossbow you could pick from but if devs dont want to do that then we're left with either "screw rangers" or "change the bow to cross bow"

can i ask a (what seems to me) a verry simple question here.........

 

 

Why do all of you opposed to things like this CARE AT ALL if other people do it... you enjoy walking around and searching... great continue to do that but why the need to force that on everyone else.....

 

do i want auto pathing myself? not really.... but do i care one bit if others do it? no... but i certainly do care if it'ld attract more players to play with...

 

its the same shit with group summoning before it was changed... it had absolutly no impact on you if people did it but SOME PLAYERS felt no one should so bitched and complained untill it was changed and now we have yet another restriction in the game put there because people thought everyone should play like them...

 

Then happened again with energy.... hcs can be quoted saying "we are increasing the costs of skills because we think people should need to put points into energy"  why the hell FORCE a play style on people.. makes no sense at all to me...

 

then again same thing with experience differences lets make it harder to help friends that might just be starting out...

 

restrict restrict resttrict... drive away...

 

*shakes head* make no sense... especialy when a main point in the games advertising is the freedoms...

 

do everything you can to attract and retain players not conintualy try to FORCE them to play a way that you or SOME people feel they should ....

yeah i wasn't dissagreeing with your suggestion mearly pointing out that atleast you can do that until hcs conciders this suggestion (incase any didn't know)

 

oh and what i do (if waiting on someone) is keep the home page open in another tab and occasionaly switch tabs and refresh the home page to check friends/servers they are on.  not too difficult and something people can do untill hcs adds this (if they do)
