Who cares if everyone knows you are a mod. That's irrelevant. Do you rage when someone is promoted at work to become your team lead ? Give me a break. You are just fighting this just to fight it.

 

Only the raging idiot will be upset at the mod. The rest of the community will support this. And if he/she does not like the mod, awwwww too bad for him. It will be a better game because of it and the juniors mods will have all my support for sure. I would praise them for their efforts and time. I would not expect them to be perfect.

Am I mad if a guy at work is promoted no.Will I be mad if the guy that got promoted fires me because someone gave him a bad day, yes.We are human, the inevitable of a mod messing up big will happen.

People I would suggest would be people like Brioche, Reinedor and Chelsea. Too bad Handyman is not still around. But this is not an election so please don't critisize my choice of names. Just going off what I know of them in-game or in forums

All the players that have been suggested in this thread have clear favourites in game. 

 

Chat mods were added in Fallensword (HCS other game), instantly they began to show favouritism... they still do, regularly from what I hear. Please do not tell us it works fine in EVERY game in the whole wide World... cause it don't.

 

Why are we so butt hurt by words, when we can use the ignore function and move on? I don't understand.

I feel that a mod could be a mod for as long as they did not know they are not a mod.

Some mods will be favorited by players to the point in which the mods turns a blind eye if their worshipers commits a sin.They will be traded more and gain more business than any other player just because they have a title of a mod and players see that as a person who shall not give them a bad deal or scam.The powers are not limited, one power can branch out  to another.

This isn't any different than capturing a screen shot and posting it with a complaint ticket.

I don't think this is a good idea because some maturity level of people who might want to do this will be lower than that of an actual moderator who has more of an investment in the game aside from just playing eldevin and being a high level/very popular (which could be gamed)

 

I Still think you'd have to work at HCS to be considered for moderator.

 

But i think some kind of player "moderation" would be nice, just try and be a good person and call people out on their bs. and if it gets out of hand then we always have the cow to actually do something.

Personally i don't think it is enough.

 

Some people like to just jump on the band wagon when some immature clown starts acting up in chat, and soon it descends into chaos. With nobody to nip it in the bud it gets messy and can end up nasty.

 

The there is the problem (luckily not yet happened that I have seen) of the spammers for gold, items, drugs, porn sites..etc etc - using ignore only goes so far imho.
