I have tried to farm green peas and flax on several different farms and plots.  The crops grow fine, and I can prune them, but once they are done growing there is no harvest option.  The plants go straight from growing to decaying.  I am level 21 farming.

 

Can anyone else confirm if they are having any issues with the level 16 seeds?

Are you using fertilizer? I believe at that level, if you're not using fertilizer, you need to water them twice. Is the growth (green bar) at 100%?

No, I had not added anything to my crops.  Both seeds required two sessions of pruning, the water bar was low but looked normal, and the harvest bar had gone all the way up and turned that bright green on the top square.  However, there was no option to harvest, only prune, until finally the plot decayed.

Ah, the extra water is what I was missing.  Thank you!  Time to grow some crops.

I suggest you start using fertilizer.  The extra time to make or buy then add to the crops is easily offset by the faster crop growth.  Faster growth also means less chance for disease (usually only one per crop at that level) and only one water until you get to level 32.

 

(IMHO, the scarecrow and fertilizer are worth it, crop dust is not.)
