I used the mining potion (also known as the prospecting potion) and I was getting the same experience I would get without it. At this time I also used the major boost experience potion. Did I used one too many potions or is something wrong here?

because you get 4-5 exp without the use of potions, it does make it seem like there's no effect since 20% of such is only 1 extra exp.
basically, the potions give you the ability to always get 5 exp instead of the odd 4xp

Ok, thank you. This just means that I will have to decicate days to just mine and such.
